U.S. Drone Crashes on Island Off East Africa

A remote U.S. drone crashed while landing at an airport on a small island of Mahe off the East Coast of Africa, the AFP reported. The initial report indicates that there were no injuries when the MQ-9 crashed.

The cause of the crash was unknown, but the U.S. embassy in Mauritius told Reuters that the drone was not armed.

I know how you all feel about Fox News, but this is the first source that came up in my alerts in regards to this breaking story.

3rd known drone to have "crashed" in the last 2 week. IMO, this MUST be connected to the Airforce hack that was reported last month in Wired Magazine. I don't recall hearing about any drones failing over the last year, so unless it's just a new trend for news agencies to dig into what's "trending" and getting more sources on it... or these are literally the first few instances of such crashes.

Yep, Iran have their own Stuxnet. As if they wouldn't. They don't live in caves and Iran is not all sand. They have smart people too.

Sooner or later a drone will land in front of my house, all of the while, it was trying to protect me.

Should I destroy it, ebay, ransom, reverse-engineer, what?
