In the last couple of days, I've been watching the rising tension here on ATS concerning not only international events, but even our own domestic situation spiraling rapidly out of control. FEMA buses and trains being outfitted for mass casualties, even something as silly as Yahoo! Comments is now disabled; I'm truly starting to wonder if we will be attacked from within, or even from without soon and the beginning of all our worst nightmares may be on us. WWIII, my god.
I just came across this article concerning the stranglehold China is putting on the Dalai Lama, India, all surrounding countries and by imminent threat, the rest of the so-called "free world". Whether someone is finally moving their last chess piece into place, or the Red Guard feels it now has enough steam up its butt; something big seems like it's about to happen. From within or without, the times they are a changin'... Blessings to you all my dear friends, Om Swasti!

This is why the Michigan Militia was formed back in the 70's because they knew this was coming. They never let themselves become brainwashed from the start.

This has been happening fro decades. It has taken them this long to boil our collective frog asses.

It seems to be working...

It is working very well, in fact. Barely anyone not involved in sites such as this one have no idea about this bill. Asking around at work today, not a single person out of 30 had any idea what the NDAA even was. If that is a ratio representative of the general American population, we could be in serious trouble.

Huh, wonder where the usual Democrat talking heads are? (since thou shall not say anything negative about Obama) Also, in before Bush blah blah blah. I expect the usual Obama cares about the people - Obamacare, more social entitlements tripe to hide the fact that he is JUST AS BAD as Bush.

See, Bush basically came right out and said, "Don't care about you and going to screw you over." and that stirred up the public so then TPTB came out with the smiling Obama. He won't tell you he is gonna screw you, but for sure, he is going to screw you, just a little more sneaky about it then Bush.

No harm done.

Living in the middle of nowhere seems rather nice right now, considering the developing situation. Fortunately, my "bug-out" house is in the middle of nowhere, and I've never been closer to retreating there.

I know exactly what you mean man, for years I dreamed of being in the middle of nowhere, now I have it I lack technology and it just happens to be that I need that technology (fast/normal speed of internet) as we are entering that crucial time. Try data mining on 2Kbps

Although it has its benefits, gathering firewood everyday (which is actually very tiring in heavy rain) and creating a homestead. Survival skills are being tuned, but my 1337 skills and research is halted.

Its sad to see that people have to resort to forming Militia's, even here in Ireland (IRA etc). Its sad to see because the people should never have to come to that point where the governments are the enemy and working against civilians and the better good.

I do not know the outcome but I hope it is not violent, Ive read a lot of info a few years ago about American Militia groups and civilian defense forces and I thought I would never see the day (America being land of the free and all that). Though when Kennedy was shot, it was inevitable that Militia's would be formed; maybe that was apart of the big plan to get the masses to revolt - who knows?

I know how you feel, any topic orientated around the NWO that I have brought up in social company is not only ignored due to them not seeing it on the news or paper, but completely disregarded; even the most important topics that affect our daily lives.

What if these protests and the hacktivist groups where all apart of then plan to create order out of chaos?
People think they created the revolution, but it was a seed planted by their enemy in order for their enemy to gain control?

Kudos to Maddow. I've always considered her to be an intellectually dishonest liberal shill. But this is solid journalism and thoughtful commentary.

Unfortunately the left has been taken by this man. The "change they could believe in" is actually the change represented by Ron Paul. This President has never represented change or liberty. He's a central planner, and an oppressor of any divergent thought.

Next thing we know Americans will begin being detained indefinitely for not doing their "fair share". This man needs to go, and he needs to go soon.

A bill drafted by Senator Levin (D) and Senator McCain(R). The president pushing it through with lies and rhetoric. I feel ashamed to have voted for this man. I will be writing Ron Paul on my ballot until the day I die. I don't care if the vote is wasted. Both political parties are a disgrace and we are all to blame for giving them our money and power. We sat apathetically as they destroyed our country. We destroyed the dream of our forefathers. We destroyed all hope for our children and our children's children with debt and pathetic fear of terrorism. We have done more damage than any terrorist in the history - we did it with pens and ballots. We did it with blind loyalty to political parties that have been bought by the banks and the military contractors. Good job people. We're done.

You want example of how we did it:

Even as this bipartisan bill is dropped on us, we still cling foolishly to the false left-right paradigm. Why bother going after those who are truly responsible when we can attack each other in a never-ending polarized debate? There is no difference between the (R) and the (D). They both answer to the same people and they both push us toward the same end. No one wants to see it.

Really guys, just vote this duechbag and his cohorts out. Ron Paul gets mine as well. I have to admit that a Black Democrat is the last person I would consider to be the New World Order`s poster boy.

Incase any of you don't already know - this is scary because of the context.

Look up the NDAA - which has already been passed by the Senate and is in conferee status with the House!!

This bill basically allows the Government and the President to imprison US Citizens without cause or charges or anything if they are "suspected" of terrorism (or supporting terrorism.)
This is scary stuff people!

Further more, Senator Levin and Senator McCain (Yep, thats right, John McCain) authored the bill. They came out a couple days ago and said that the OBAMA ADMINISTRATION FORCED THEM to change the bill to INCLUDE US Citizens!! The original bill, they say, was authored to exclude US Citizens, and the Obama administration made them change to include US Citizens!

We need to write our congressman, flood them and demand that this bill be changed before Obama signs this into LAW

It passed the House today!
www.dailypaul.com...-2017950

Would you happen to have a confirming link wherein Levin/McCain claim they were FORCED to change the bill to include U.S. Citizens--that the original bill excluded U.S. Citizens?

Quick question, how can this azz hat, practice law as a practioner, then look at a telepromters 3 plus years later and say these words

Owe, forgive me, he is just one in a long string of puppets that have no chest-men without chest, and is telling the public- his handlers what to do?

This is kind of old, though, no? Didn't Judge Napolitano do a piece on this already?

It's true about the general public not knowing about this bill...I am telling everyone I know. Even my husband thinks I am overreacting, he thinks it is no worse than the Patriot Act. If people don't want to see the truth, nothing you do can help. That won't stop me though, I am a hard head. A few years ago i sent an email to G Beck about the Fema camps and a couple of days later he did a story on them, basically making fun of those who thought they were real. Now all his shows are about radicals and socialists and loss of our rights! Wonder if he feels differently now? Maddow gets it (god help me) and M Savage, but it's not enough. What can we do? Let's use this site to brainstorm.

ATS requires some description of vids etc. I am another wannahave vids on this site. Surely the poster can take time to write down one to two sentences as quotes of what was said?

Long discussions on 'pics or it did not happen', well what about 'words or I cannot know'.

Wow, hey to you that it did not happen, where have you been, do you get out much? As this posters topic is like the third on ats? just curious as your rebuttle has neither fact, nor character to it, you kind of sound like an infant that just came out of the womb

Some people think Americans do not know the details of this bill, think again.

I thought the same as well , that most Americans don't know whats going on. The fact is that Americains do know more than the Obama administration thinks . So, I'm standing in line at Starbucks (love that coffee) this evening. I was not paying attention to really anything until some local college students at a table started talking very loud, The subject was this very bill, I did not interrupt them. I just took a seat at the next table to hear what young Americans think about it. So I'm filing my report on ATS, sort of speak.

The college students about 7 or 8 of them , all made a statements like. " what will this mean for Americas?" Congress has to be voted out. " ," How does this help us with our education, I thought the president was going to help us. " , What the F*** was OWS for anyway."," Wait until my parents here about this" and the classic all time quote "I can't believe I voted or him"

I take it that these young college students were all Obama supporters until today.

This is the latest news. looks like Obama is going to sign it.

Ok, I am only on 9 of this paper and I am chilled to the bone. For 4 years i have been asking people why they are so over the moon with this man, I just don't get it! Now I am starting to understand. It explains why my father, who i thought was a rational man, fell in love with O (like Chris Mathews chill up the leg) back in 04 when he gave the speech at the Rep. convention. Nothing I say or present to him matters in the least and he watches every speech with rapt attention. I have never sat and actually watched him for more than 5 minutes, because when I do he makes me uncomfortable. I read his "script" at a later time usually. Is that why I was never taken in by him? Whew...how do we get this word out?
