Homeland Security vs the SS

The SS lasted 20 years it was started in 1925 lasted until the end of WWII when it was banned in Germany along with the Nazi Party. During their early years they promised safety and security to those who were citizens of Germany. But in the end they were responsible for the holocaust and the death of around 12 million killed in the holocaust.

First when they were formed as a protective force as bodyguards to protect the elite. At that time there were less then 1,000 members and at times less then 300. After Hitler appointed Himmler in 1932 it had around 52,000 members. By the end of the next year over 200,900. When WWII began there were around 250,000.

The SS from 1925 to 1939 had five offices, they were Administration, Personnel, Finance Security and Race. In 1931 it was restructured into five groups, headquarters staff, Personnel Office, Administration Office, SS Reserves and SS Medical Corps.

In 1936 the Nazi power seized the power over the SS and expanded it's power. As Himmler described:

Following Hitler's assumption of power in Germany, the SS became regarded as a state organization and a branch of the established government. The Headquarters Staff, SD, and Race Office became full-time paid employees, as did the leaders of the SS-Gruppen and some of their command staffs. The rest of the SS were considered part-time volunteers, and in this concept the Allgemeine-SS came into being.

The Gestapo or Secret Service as we know them in the US was transferred to the SS and the SS began to emerge into it's final form.

1936-1939 Himler was named chief of Police. They were organized into criminal police, security police and security service.

The SS was then classified in three groups, Algemeinne, Waffen and Germanic.

Allgemeine-SS
Main article: Allgemeine-SS
The Allgemeine-SS (the "General SS") refers to a non-combat branch of the SS. The Allgemeine-SS formations were divided into Standarten, organized into larger formations known as Abschnitte and Oberabschnitte. Many personnel served in other branches of the state government, Nazi Party, and certain departments within the RSHA (e.g., the SD, Gestapo and Kripo). Members of the Allgemeine-SS were considered more or less reservists with many serving the German military, or the Waffen-SS. For those who served in the Waffen-SS, it was a standard practice to hold separate SS ranks for both the Allgemeine-SS and the Waffen-SS.

The Waffen-SS were frontline combat troops trained to fight in Germany's battles during World War II. During the early campaigns against Austria, Czechoslovakia and Poland, military SS units were of regiment size and drawn from existing armed SS formations:
The Leibstandarte, Hitler's personal bodyguard.
The Death's-Head Battalions (German: Totenkopfverbände), which administered the concentration camps.
The Dispositional Troops, (German: Verfügungstruppe).

Germanic-SS
Main article: Germanic-SS
The Germanic-SS was an SS-modeled structure formed in occupied territories and allied countries. The main purpose of the Germanic-SS was enforcement of Nazi racial doctrine and anti-semitic policies. Denmark and Belgium were the two largest participants in the Germanic-SS program. Germanic-SS members wore the all-black SS uniforms favored by the pre-war German SS. After the war began, Himmler ordered the uniforms to be turned in and many were then sent west to be used by Germanic-SS units such as the ones in Holland and Denmark.[7] These groups had their own uniforms with a modification of SS rank titles and insignia. All Germanic-SS units answered to the SS headquarters in Germany.

Last but not least their was the Auxillary SS. Many of these were put in place as the war effort began to deteriorate. Many of these members were charged with war crimes as others escaped charges.

The Auxiliary-SS (SS mannschaft) was an organization that arose in 1945 as a last-ditch effort to keep concentration camps running. Auxiliary-SS members were not considered regular SS personnel, but were conscripted members from other branches of the German military, the Nazi Party, and the Volkssturm. Such personnel wore a distinctive twin swastika collar patch and served as camp guard and administrative personnel until the surrender of Germany.
Auxiliary SS members had the distinct disadvantage of being the "last ones in the camp" as the major concentration camps were liberated by allied forces. As a result, many auxiliary SS members, in particular those captured by Russian forces, faced swift and fierce retaliation and were often held personally responsible for the carnage of the camps to which some had only been assigned for a few weeks or even days.
There also exist very few records of the Auxiliary SS since, at the time of this group's creation, it was a foregone conclusion that Germany had lost the Second World War and the entire purpose of the Auxiliary SS was to serve in support roles while members of the SS proper escaped from allied forces. Thus, there was never a serious effort to properly train, equip, or maintain records on the Auxiliary SS.

Anyhow the SS started out preaching peace and security and then became a death machine killing millions.

Now I am no fortune teller and I can not see the future, but I can look to the past and I can tell you that those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

Heres another interesting fact, before 9/11 the US was referred to by US Presidents as the nation or the Republic, it wasn't until after the 9/11 attacks that a US President referred to the United States as the Homeland.

Whew ok now that I got all that history out of the way, the point of this thread is to point out the similarities obviously between the two organizations.

Now people talk alot of crap about the Police and the US Military, but hey at least those people swore an oath to defend the constitution.

Is Homeland Security held to that same standard? And how come nobody talks crap about them as much as OWS talks bad about the police?

BTW what are the qualifications for becoming Homeland Security, did anyone bother to ask that question?

LOL, the sad thing is, in a firefight DHS stands no chance, so I wonder how they plan on acquiring a strong military presence, however, at this point in the game with the laws they are trying to pass and so fourth they need a police force to accompany their legislation, to bring US military and make them a police force would be unconstitutional and like I said in a fire fight they wouldn't stand a chance. So somehow they either need to recruit from the military or they need to train new recruits, but as the constitution stands the military can not police citizens and to do so would be unconstitutional, just as detaining citizens indefinitely.

But at first it was, the SS devolved into other areas, somehow, they gained military power. They were just as much in plain sight as Homeland Security, they played the peacemaker role.

It was not much different than whats happening now. They are building their manpower, they can acquire military strength through NATO, but for now military can not police citizens, so therefore they must target the police and acquire police strength. A US soldier can not detain a US citizen, under the constitution only a police officer can, therefore they must gain control of police forces before they can gain military power, thus the operations going on now.

The ARNGUS and ANGUS are components of the Army and Air Force, respectively. That places them under the DOD, not DHS.

CERT is mostly old retired people who get a backpack, flashlight, and a day-glo vest. Once a month or so they meet to practice first aid and learn about disaster response. They serve a worthy purpose and I applaud everyone who wants to help their community, but on the scale of "people likely to enforce the NWO with their iron fist," CERT falls somewhere between the Civil Air Patrol and YMCA life guards.

Lots of people talk crap about the TSA, there are entire web sites and a web comic devoted to it. There's lots of crap talk about the DHS leadership. FEMA took a lot of heat for their Katrina response. Many people criticize our immigration and customs regulations, too. Few people talk crap about the other DHS agencies, because they don't do anything really novel or objectionable.

No one "becomes" Homeland Security. It's an executive branch department, not a job description. If you want to work for a DHS agency, you can search for openings near you at usajobs.gov.

I think you misunderstand DHS's role in the government. They don't really do firefights. They don't want to do firefights. Everyone within their agency works very hard to avoid ever being in a firefight while accomplishing their missions. Anyway, they have several law enforcement agencies (ICE, BP, USSS) already, and they don't need any more. They have a military branch, too (USCG). That branch has a dual military-law enforcement role, so it's already sort of a police force.

Note, making the other military branches a police force isn't unconstitutional. The Militia (National Guard) is charged with executing US law in Article I, Section 8. The rest of the military can be used for law enforcement, too, but there are statutes restricting when and where that can be done.

Oh can see where this is going to go and not very good "helo DHS yea I had seen my neighbor unloading some boxes and stuff he said "it was going to blow me away" or "yea one of the people I work for asked me how good ammonium nitrate was" or this "yes I would like to know how much your 72 hour survival kit is?" or "yea Mr smith was asking about water proof ammo cans" Do you see where this can go? I think that Homeland Security is already WORSE than the SS, they just haven't gotten to the making people disappear in mass numbers bit yet, luckily Obama will sign that bill into Law soon. That's it's called "Homeland" Security, and didn't make people immediately freak out because of the nazi implications, showed me a lot about "my fellow Americans."

In January 2008, the Department of Homeland Security has issued a final rule to establish minimum standards for state-issued driver’s licenses and identification cards in accordance with the REAL ID Act of 2005.

These regulations set standards for states to meet the requirements of the REAL ID Act, including:

information and security features that must be incorporated into each card;
proof of identity and lawful status of an applicant;
verification of the source documents provided by an applicant; and
security standards for the offices that issue licenses and identification cards.

Pursuant to the Department of Homeland Security's REAL ID regulation, States were to be in full compliance with the REAL ID Act of 2005 by May 11, 2011. A final rule issued March 7, 2011 changes that date to January 15, 2013. This change gives States the time necessary to ensure that driver's licenses and identification cards issued by States meet the security requirements of the REAL ID Act.

You know what, I knew all about that, I've been against that for a while. It still makes me a little sad all over again to see how easy it is for them to just, in plain sight, bring in the NWO. It's sickening.

Ever heard of "posse comittatus"? It used to protect the U.s. public from being policed by the military(who are trained,staffed and equipped to destroy opposing Armies). ;it's been watered down but I don't believe repealed. The intentions behind it are IMHO very appropriate and applicable to just this kind of expansion of federal "police" power..
