WARNING LANGUAGE

I found this incredibly funny and wish more people would step up and help out with dirtbags. I'm actually surprised to see people stand up against self entitled jerks which is sort of sad. I'm hoping that the man doesn't end up getting arrested or sued.

That isn't cool... I just see that as people willing to act to try to please authorities, like little kids in primary school who dob and make up stories to impress the teachers. All for a matter of a few dollars (or pounds)? Public transport is paid for by taxes should be free. I hear in the UK it is privatised to - and is still subsidised by government! certainly not something to be proud in my opinion. And as above comments, All I hear is "How dare he think he can resist the oppression we succumb to"

Hopefully the young man learned a valuable lesson - Don't make a big Scot late for his pint.

I strongly disagree. You can ask him to leave, you can even get the whole train to add their voice to encourage the person in question (via public humiliation and embarrassment) to get off but laying a finger on someone else is assault, plain and simple.

I realise that it would delay the train but there is something called the British Transport Police that is there to perform this kind of action when and where necessary. Fortunately for the passengers it worked out okay this time but what if the young man suddenly pulled out a knife? Or was seriously or fatally injured after being thrown roughly off that train? I think the feelings of glee some expressed here would be quite different then.

This reminds me of when I was working in DC. A guy boarded the metro bus during the morning rush hour without paying the fare. The bus driver told him he wasn't moving the bus unless he paid his fare (people started moaning because they didn't want to be late for work). He told the bus driver "Who's going to make me!" At that moment, a guy about 6'3 stood up in the back of the bus where I was sitting and said "I am m..thr F'r" and the guy took one look at this big guy and ran off the bus. All the people on the bus started clapping and the bus continued on its way.

The "big man" should have at least talked to the guy before handling him like that.

Wow. Soooo entitled. Everyone else has to pay, so does the brat. Not everything is going to be handed to you on a silver platter. I suggest changing that mindset.

Beautiful video man!

I have put myself in similar situations. But, beware that there can be severe consequences for involving yourself in a potential dangerous position. What would have happened if he pulled a gun on the BIG GUY, or pulled a knife, I saw children on that train?!?!

I have watched a young woman getting beat at a local gas station by her man in my town, very busy in front of a grocery store, I pulled into the parking lot and was aware of 20+ people standing there watching, not saying a word. Mind you, that this happened across the street adjacent to the WPD Station. I calmly walked up to the couple fighting, asked her if she needed assistance, she replied yes. I gave the guy a look and with a huge amount of confidence/ and or stupidity told him I'm taking her away from you and asked if he wanted trouble. he hopped in his truck, I brought the young lady to the gas station entrance and he drove off. People clapped but I yelled out to them for being moronic for standing there , took her home to her parents, and that was that.

I am not a hero but a good person that has a big heart and has a nature to help others in need if I am capable of doing so. it gets me so livid when a individual takes action, and a group of people watch... its not a movie, or drama to sit back and enjoy. I let everyone there know how mad I was that they stood there entertained..... SHAME ON YOU!!!!!!!!!!

:

That gentleman has my vote that there are still good men for all others that need one "in the moment"

Thanks for the Vid. S&F

Much Love

Please send me a few dollars since it does not mean that much to you, I will be waiting for you to reply to my inbox as to where to send me your money. You even say it's privatized yet he shouldn't pay. The people who really can't afford it, have it payed by through some kind of welfare program.

I support OWS but I would never support this. You are either some pathetic Socialist with an entitlement complex or a troll.

That was pretty funny. "Cheers, Big Man."

Glad they added the subtitles, though. I love the way Scottish people talk, but I can only understand about half of what they say.

Good to see someone backing up the elderly gent. Hopefully Big Man does not get in any trouble over this.

Great thread. Thanks for taking the time to post it. If the 'Big Guy' ever gets around Branson, USA for a tourist trip or something, I hope he drops me a note. He won't be buying his own dinner for at least one night he's over here, and he can pick the spot. Anything he desires.

After watching so many videos of bystanders just watching and carrying on while their fellow citizens are brutalized or outright die for all to see...it's heart warming to see one where a guy with no stake what so ever, stand up to do the right thing and help the poor conductor.

It looks like this situation had just about run it's course, and left an older Gentleman to look like a foolish and powerless moron to HIS train of people. I'm glad the instigator met someone a bit younger who could literally THROW him out the door (that second trip out looked airborne to me..
)

I think he was asked to leave plenty of times. This is what’s wrong with society today. So many people have been led to believe they are owed something or that it’s OK if they don’t pay for things even though others work hard for their money and play by the rules.

Sometimes people just need to be put in their place…the old fashioned way. If I was a cop, I wouldn’t do a damn thing to the big man for throwing the kid off. Both of them got what they deserved; the kid got thrown out on his ear and the big man got applause.

Good stuff.
Entitled snots might be starting to learn they are not so special after all and that no one gives a rat's butt about their poor feelings being hurt.

Why does it matter if someone doesnt pay the fair, who cares.
Its a sign of the times and if you expect everyone to be able to pay for it your crazy.
Fix the big problems then worry about this petty crap

If you can't pay, don't play. No one begrudges a man who must walk or travel another way...but don't get on THAT train, then lie about having paid a fare. You might find yourself FLYING out the door to the sound of cheering passengers.

Why it matters...is the rest of the train presumably paid their fare and I am sure not one of them enjoyed doing it. What made this punk so special that HE could just 'say no' yet get the service anyway? Neigh Neigh I say..and I'm glad to hear a few people in Scotland completely agree with that sentiment. He even tried getting BACK on...twice! Oh what nerve that thief displayed....but gravity always wins. (grin)
