Russian protesters film UFO over Moscow

Looks like a RC camera drone to me. Highbrow reports in the Telegraph and Daily Mail ( not so high brow)

Witnessed by hundreds of pro-democracy protestors in the Russian capital's Bolotnaya Square on Saturday, the unidentified craft drew confused stares.
Clearly not a helicopter, the silent UFO pulsated coloured lights and had five extended tendrils or pylons emanating from the body of the vehicle.

Probably a US drone that was 'Lost' over Afghanistan :-)

Most likely an intelligence drone recording the protest and the people involved.IMO. Nice catch . Thanks for sharing.

i don't really know what a drone looks like, i didn't think it looked like that though.

To Me looks like someone playing some jokes on protesters. This was in another thread a couple days ago but its a toy helicopter with multiple propellers. Ill send the link as soon as i find it!

Well, to update... I say it is a surveillance vehicle of some type. But, yes, since the people writing the story and seeing from the ground (protestors)-It's a UFO.

However-someone on the other side of things knows what it is so then: It isn't a UFO? I guess it all comes down to the side of the fence you perfer to sit on.

I am going with it ISN'T a UFO.

I am surprised at the silliness of the telegraph's story, it's more like something the mail would have written, while the mail's story is more down to earth.

In the article,

NASA recently admitted that there is a good chance that aliens are monitoring are civilization through the use of 'unmanned' probes.

This quote is directly below the picture of the crowd, which was obviously taken from the "alien craft". I guess the aliens really are working with the governments and providing them the footage they film.

I agree, and in fact it may not even be a drone (IE, piloted from some distance away) so much as a remote controlled hobby-grade multi-rotor heli being flown at or near the event. These days there are quite a few on the market, there's a whole forum dedicated to them on R/C Groups:

They come in tri, quad and hex configurations. The one in the photos would be a hex.

Edit to add- here's a YouTube clip of a Hexastar hovering, compare it to the above photos and the resemblance is pretty striking. The one difference is the one in the pics appears to have something suspended below its center (probably a camera) and this one doesn't.

it would be nice to know the velocity that the object appeared or disappeared… it’s a good way to clean any doubts!
