The nuke would be launched from american soil. Preferably midwest. They wouldn't even have time to BREIF the president on the problem before it detonated. Since such a mission would have to be extremely covert to pull this off, America wouldn't have any idea who to launch missles at. Plus washington would likely be dust before they could even reboot their computers. (the EMP will knock out the power if nothing else).

Im not saying it would be easy, but it is very possible.

Text The USA is winning WW3 because they are defeating every independent nation one nation at a time (or several at once.) No country is being allowed to get anywhere near powerful enough to actually be a threat to our superiority. The countries that cannot be coerced into being friendly are instead kept disrupted politically, economically or militarily.

And yeah,for sure. I think it is more likely China will step things up through proxy rather than openly. And I think they are biding their time. But they will need to do something as the US are close to controlling the Middle East and are looking more at Africa. China will know it cant leave things too late. The trillions America owes is peanuts compared to controling the Reserve Currency.

Well that hardly matters now dont you think? The whole good guy bad guy thing doesnt really apply in war, your side fights the other side because those are the orders given. A good soldier doesnt question orders regardless of personal feelings. But if we are fighting to defend our homes that gives it a certain logic to it rather than get on a ship/plane and go mess up someone else`s home because of orders.

I asked because you assumed that you (or perhaps you knew you) and everyone here was on the side of the Allies during the first two world wars. The philosopher in me wants to know if you honestly know or if you were just biased to the allies since that is the life you (currently?) live.

I wont respond to your personal comments for due reason. The US soldier has not been against a well trained , well disciplined, enemy since the NVA...Our civilian population hasn't seen battle since the Civil war. Sorry, Cowboys and Indians don't count.

Not exactly. Although I made the EMP point myself, it isn't the only way. It is by far the most effective though.
You could go the black ops or MW3 route and unleash a coordinated strike against every major target (ny, la, washington, etc) using explosives or a toxic gas. Though it would be more difficult to get your people near the president, it isn't impossible.

I would recommend, if one was going this route, to pair this up with the EMP and nuke offensive I described earlier, which ever they use is up to them both have pros and cons. However it would have to be unleashed after the EMP. Doing it before might tip off their people to watch the radar more closely, which ruins the EMP surprise.

Honestly, taking over the U.S. just takes planning, conventional warfare isn't going to get us.

I did not know stuxnet was targeted at "PLC's"( programmable logic controllers)
That would do it. Change process values;shutdown ovens;bypass "safetys". You could really tear a facility up and hurt people with that kind of attack. Think it or a disguised cousin is lurking in a file on a wayward runaway drone somewhere? reminds me of "independence day" when will smith and Richard Benjimin make a "special delivery" to the alien mothership "mainframe"..

Merry Meet I think you are more on target than most posting. We are in the early stages of CW2 no doubt; the great dividing line will not be sectional like CW1 but will be ideological that threaten every fabric of this country; whether we are to remain Republic or become a Socialist State is the real question; we cannot travel backwards, but we need to seriously think about killing part of the beast (federal govt machine).

A trained platoon would probably chew up and spit out a small "redneck" town.

Assuming a pre-invasion "non-aggression treaty" was signed with Canada beforehand (perhaps with Alaska being offered for cooperation), a west coast attack by the Chinese in coordination with a Mexican invasion from the south and a Russian attack on 2 east coast fronts (one north and one south launched from Cuba), the U.S. would be done in a matter of weeks.

And the world would cheer...

By the way, if this did occur, Russia and China would either sign a treaty with Israel OR give the Arab nations permission to invade/destroy...

A war on U.S. soil wouldn't be amateur hour, which is the only place people who call themselves "gangsta" need to be. If they manage to land troops in the U.S., it would mean they have a very strong military capability. Which means their ground troops would be likely well trained. Not the kind of folks you go "bustin' caps" at.

Day one early AM EST: We get softened up by strategic terrorist style strike teams as insurgents use the waterways coming up the Mississippi, Ohio and Chattahoochee rivers. These attacks focus on damns, bridges and power generation facilities and effectively cut of east west travel, supply lines and put everything east of the Mississippi back into the stone age due to no power.

Day One early AM EST: Mass insurgents bum rush the eastern and western border crossing and start attacking small towns as a diversion. The diversion covers the transport of nuclear weapons or massive thermobaric weapons into the US.

Day one noon EST: Detonate WMDs in San Diego, Houston, Dallas and Phoenix setting up large scale casualties and complete disruption of all US transportation and commerce. Martial law declared. All air and ground traffic halted. Military patrols all interstates and skies

Day one 4PM EST: additional WMDs make it to additional west coast and Midwest targets despite roadblocks by military.

Day two early AM: Submarine missile bombardment of strategic targets on west and east coast. Subs are sunk by US Navy but damage is done. US threaten all out nuclear war against anyone found complicit in the attacks but a target is as yet unknown / unclear.

Day two noon: All out nuclear Armageddon.

Assuming your method isn't a coalition of all the nations that hate us, the equipment they use in the fight, specifically the submarines, would be traceable back to their home country. However I do like the idea, and I suggest a couple modifications. Have the WMD's in place before you infiltrate the waterways. It will make things go faster. Also, make DC one of the targets for the WMD. If you manage to take out Washington, you have completely crippled the military and the nation. The military would falter and the states would ultimately be on their own.
Taking out washington also neuter the U.S. as a nuclear power since the everyone who knew the launch codes for the missiles were in Washington when it was destroyed.

Not baised at all and i never said allies or axis, i just said alot may have been there walking the planet just like they do now, or maybe all the warriors are getting called back to Terra Firma for the big one. I sure as hell dont plan on sitting out of any world war if it comes to my home.

No way. The United States military could and would continue to function if Washington was wiped off the map. They figured out that way back in the cold war days. The Cheyanne mountains are full off bunkers developed for just a scenario as well as Air Force One is full loaded with all the command and control gear needed to mount a defense. Not to mention the Boomers and Carrier groups around the world which are nuclear equipped as well.
In fact it would probably be more effective without all the politicians if DC was to take a hit
