Anyone know what this symbol means or if there are any similar symbols around ?

Knot length can be variable, don't really know the history of said symbol either..

Were have you found this symbol and why do you think it means something / want to know what it means!

This is getting of topic but people say 2nd line because you are not suppose to write one line responses according to the terms and conditions.

Bit silly really when some questions can be answered with 1 line or even 1 word!

Thanks for letting me know

As for the symbol all i can really say is that i got it from somewhere many people dont know about, so yeah, about as cryptic as it gets

i thought maybe it was something to do with unity, interaction, healing, and of course ILLUMINATION, but i have no idea which society created such a symbol .

I checked my Secret Book of Symbols and I can't find that symbol anywhere. It's safe to say though that's not an Illuminati symbol.

Similar to the twin serpents in this: drblayney.com...

...and this: drblayney.com...

Well, it reminded me of them anyway.

The closest thing I could find would be Maori twist pendants. They consist of a loop with a single, double, triple (maybe more?) twists.

The double twist version is purported to represent the joining of cultures, the bonding of friendship for life.

It looks like a simplified caddaceus which is two intertwined serpents. It is a symbol of the medical profession taken from the Greek classical era and is very much associated with healing.

Two similar symbols come to mind,

the Hermes staff of Caduceus

Caduceus Jewelry

Wiki Caduceus

and the symbol of Cantheism

Cantheism.com

.

If the source for the symbol was a modern use, the symbol for Cantheism is a close match.

And with that, Cantheism has given me my 20th post, freeing me from these ATS shackles. Thus, for me, it is a symbol of New Threads to come!
