Probably you aren't as into it as other people that go on them and the other people were really into ghosts.
No different than people falling when a preacher smacks them on the head. So in a sense, I guess you are right, but I'd say rather than being staged you just got in a group with a bunch of ghost hunting housewives.

Probably, especially when one asked the ghost to speak to her, she said she would pay the ghost for actually doing that

Although.. I would pay that same ghost twice as much if it spoke to her like Craig T. Nelson.
