The article talks of cloud seeding, an entirely different thing where small aircraft pass over existing cumulous clouds seedi g them to make rain after only a few minutes. This leaves no visible trail of any kind. The article itself is wrongly illustrated with a 747 water bomber, which has the same role as the DC-4 illustrated in this thread, but for people with more money

I've been the laughing stock of my family about chemtrails for years but even they are starting to come around to the fact that all those "trails" in the sky can't possibly be from commercial planes (especially when you can watch the spray being dispersed without seeing the actual plane).

Personally, I think they probably use it for a myriad of purposes. It probably started out as an experiment in weather modification. I remember about six or seven years ago, there was a day in early October that started out with typical blue skies and by mid-day, the skies were gray and criss-crossed with chemtrails. The very next day, we had these mutant snowflakes in NYC (for lack of a better description) that I have never before nor ever since seen again. They lasted a short time but man, we're they a strangely beautiful sight. Of course there's a chance that it was just coincidence but even my skeptical family's shell started to crack over that one.

I also believe that the poster's theory about protection from the heat of the sun, which has weakened as our natural protections have eroded, is valid. I've come to believe this because of the worldwide reports of vitamin D deficiency that's been prevalent over the last year or two. I realize that our lifestyles have changed and perhaps our youth don't spend as much time outdoors as my generation did, but there is still such an epidemic of vitamin D deficiency, you have to put 2 and 2 together and realize that those beneficial sun rays are somehow being blocked (strangely enough, those same "healthy" sun rays that give us our vitamin D are the same ones that seem to cause sun cancer and other sun-exposure related illnesses).

has any one heard the blocking out nibiru theory i swear i saw the second sun last year at the same time three planes were spraying in a criss cross pattern right in front of it. it was in the evening as the sun was setting. im in georgia

But surely, the one reason that shows that to be an idiotic theory is because the sky isn't completely blocked at all times? There are vast areas with no cloud cover at all. Clouds also blow about in the wind. If the sky is blocked directly above your head, someone else a few hundred miles away could have an unimpeded view of he same sky.

Weather modification is rain making - it hasn't needed "confirmation" for 50 years because it has been public knowledge at least that long.

The ion generation system is, AFAIK, still unproven - some think it is a scam eg see www.livescience.com...

time will tell whether it works better than cloud seeding I guess

If you mean the page you linked to, no it doesn't. There is a diagram that mentions aerosols, it says nothing about spraying at all.

Always gotta ridicule the whole mass of chemtrail believers with absurd uses of them.

But cloud seeding with chemicals isn't chemtrails, oh no because it's scientific...
I'm on the fence with all this chemtrail stuff, most of it does sound absurd but you debunkers are really something...you make me want to REALLY believe there is something going on.

Yes......these companies use various methods, to include (sometimes) the ground-based technology.

It is how ski resorts make "snow" for their purposes.....et cetera.

As I said, many simply need to properly educate themselves, and then realize that NONE of this is related, in any way at all, to the so-called meme of "chemtrails".

They ("chemtrails") are an imagination, they do not exist.
