Having Ron Paul as the candidate would cut the need for Obama smearing ad money way down.
If you get someone like Newt in there you are really gonna need the dough for ads and campaigns smearing Obama. Put Ron in and you wont because Dems and Indies will vote for him. They wont need nearly as much convincing.
