Why so scared?

Why are people so scared of the end of the world?

Just want to know from you scaredy cats.

I dont think anyone is actually scared of the world ending. In fact I believe that they anticipate it.

People talk about survival but then if it was the end of the world, it would destroy the planet and there would be no way to survive.
They KNOW this. What they really want is a fair death. A death where they know that everyone else is also dead, so wherever it is that people go when they die, they would be able to participate in that event and be with them at the time.
That way, if there is an after-life, we would all go there at the same time and there wouldn't be any loss and grievance.

Being scared is nothing more than being prepared for an unknown outcome.

I'm not. I'm ready any time.

I'm not afraid of death, but I am afraid of pain. As long as its quick, no problem.
