Text You admit you have an agenda. I know where the money is supposed to go, but at any level, local, regional, state wide or federal, the money just doesn't seem to end up there..... Does it? Meanwhile reality comes crashing in.
Text Are you going to propose a solution or just Nit pick and point out your perceived flaws in the system?

Isn't that where state lottery revenue goes too as well? Our non-college schools? As well as a host of other taxes, fees and penalties to "schools"? I have that in parenthesis because they are less schools these days and more like training camps.
OK, First off...
Not every State can pay for it all with only "Lottery Proceeds" [Which having a State Lottery has helped offset the costs.
Secondly
"less schools these days and more like training camps"
Are you going to propose a solution or just Nit pick and point out your perceived flaws with the system?
County services? You mean like enlisting thousands of sheriffs to man the metal detectors and courtrooms jammed to the hilt of people who are herded in like sheep to answer for ridiculous crimes manufactured for the sole reason to generate revenue for the county?
Are you proposing MOB rule with no legal or justice system at all?
I agree there are some laws and regulations that should be done away with. Hopefully you'll do the right about thing as a Citizen and get a movement going [Instead of Nit picking online] and become a Civic activist so we can get some of the outdated and unnecessary laws changed and or amended.
You speak as if it matters, it does not. Your taxes will not be spent the way you wan't them to be, nor will the be spent the way the MAJORITY of Americans wish them to be and as a direct result of these facts,
And YOU speak for the Majority of us 310,000,000 Americans?
I don't concern myself with the logistics...
Nor concern yourself with reality and facts.
because even though I know exactly what they are it won't change how my taxes or anyone elses are spent and that brings me to the point of a rogue government, yet again.
So...
You admit you have an agenda.
What solutions are you providing us for these issues?
I know where the money is supposed to go, but at any level, local, regional, state wide or federal, the money just doesn't seem to end up there..... Does it?

When the Revolutionary War began, the colonies had well-developed tax systems that made a war against the world’s leading military power thinkable. The tax structure varied from colony to colony, but five kinds of taxes were widely used. Capitation (poll) taxes were levied at a fixed rate on all adult males and sometimes on slaves. Property taxes were usually specific taxes levied at fixed rates on enumerated items, but sometimes items were taxed according to value. Faculty taxes were levied on the faculty or earning capacity of persons following certain trades or having certain skills. Tariffs (imposts) were levied on goods imported or exported and excises were levied on consumption goods, especially liquor.

ALLODIUM estates. Signifies an absolute estate of inheritance, in coutradistinction to a feud.
2. In this country the title to land is essentially allodial, and every tenant in fee simple has an absolute and perfect title, yet in technical language his estate is called an estate in fee simple, and the tenure free and common socage. 3 Kent, Com. 390; Cruise, Prel. Dis. c. 1, 13; 2 Bl. Com. 45. For the etymology of this word, vide 3 Kent Com. 398 note; 2 Bouv. Inst. n. 1692.
FEE, FEODUM or FEUDUM, estates. From the French, fief. A fee is an estate which may continue forever. The word fee is explained to signify that the land, or other subject of property, belongs to its owner, and is transmissible, in the case of an individual, to those whom the law appoints to succeed him, under the appellation of heirs; and in the case of corporate bodies, to those who are to take on themselves the corporate function; and from the manner in which the body is to be continued, are denominated successors. 1 Co. Litt. 1, 271, b; Wright's Ten. 147, 150; 2 Bl. Com. 104. 106; Bouv. Inst. Index h. t.
2. Estates in fee are of several sorts, and have different denominations, according to their several natures and respective qualities. They 'may with propriety be divided into, 1. Fees simple. 2 . Fees determinable. 3. Fees qualified. 4. Fees conditional and 5. Fees tail.
3. - 1. A fee simple is an estate inlands or tenements which, in reference to the ownership of individuals, is not restrained to any heirs in particular, nor subject to any condition or collateral determination except the laws of escheat and the canons of descent, by which it may, be qualified, abridged or defeated. In other words, an estate in fee simple absolute, is an estate limited to a person and his heirs general or indefinite. Watk. Prin. Con. 76. And the omission of the word `his' will not vitiate the estate, nor are the words "and assigns forever" necessary to create it, although usually added. Co. Litt. 7, b 9, b; 237, b Plowd. 28, b; 29, a; Bro. Abr. Estates, 4. 1 Co. Litt. 1, b; Plowd. 557 2 Bl. Com. 104, 106 Hale's Analysis, 74. The word fee simple is sometimes used by the best writers on the law as contrasted with estates tail. 1 Co. Litt. 19. In this sense, the term comprehends all other fees as well as the estate, properly, and in strict propriety of technical language, peculiarly' distinguished by this appellation.

In Australia it's called council rates but it's the same thing. It's supposed to go toward Infostructure and the weekly rubbish removal and stuff like that but the rates have been climbing, at least where I live, and people aren't happy.
You could pay a guy to remove your rubbish and mow your nature strip for less than the cost of the rates. Councils are the mafia.
