It would seem that as the elections get closer and closer politicans and there supporters are willing to prostitute anybody for a few extra votes. Even God is getting his moment to help candidates. Both candidates have merrily dragged out their spiritual beliefs to get those precious votes. This article is rather interesting. Priests and ministers merrily give messages from God on the issue.

"FORT WORTH, Texas - (KRT) - A growing number of theologians, ministers and citizens are taking issue with statements made by evangelical Christian leaders suggesting that God has chosen sides in the presidential election.

An advertisement published in The New York Times to coincide with the Republican National Convention begins, "God is not a Republican. Or a Democrat."

As of Friday, more than 59,000 people have pledged support for the advertisement, according to Sojourners, a Christian Internet magazine that helped sponsor the ad. A Sojourners spokeswoman said the magazine did not ask for supporters' political affiliations.

The advertisement quotes Pat Robertson saying that God told him President Bush would win the election "like a blowout." It quotes Jerry Falwell, saying it is the responsibility of evangelical Christians, pro-life Catholics, traditional Jews and Reagan Democrats to re-elect Bush."

Not God was a hippy he sent his son to fight the government and that was radical.

but now that bush claims it talks to him it has become a conservative in his old age.

Would YHWH the clan god of the Jews vote democrat or republican, do you think?

Probably neither: he just wants the Amalekites genocided and to exterminate the Jebusites---men, women, children and the animals.

Isn't it convenient for the Israelites that "God" just happens to hate all of their political enemies....hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....

I know, I made a joke on the post, but the reality is that God is being used like you used an item that one size fit all.

Depending on your personal agenda or the governments of this world agenda that's how god is used in their favors.

It is very convenient indeed to have a god that can accommodate to everyone but the ones that don't agree with the views of the majority their god is not recognize by the others.

It is very simple will you vote for a candidate that is an atheist, well if one of this candidates comes out and said that they don't believe in god he will not have a chance in hell to win the elections, remember candidates use god's references to appeal to the religious notions of this nation.

So each candidate will tried to preach that god is closer to them because of their social views on certain issues.

Example if bush is against abortion that will bring him closer to god that let�s say kerry that his views about abortion are not defined, and the same about gays and so on.

That is how one may see how close good may be to one candidate than other. It�s all political gain in the political game.

I always viewed the Judeo Christian interpretation of God being a benevolent dictatorship, in a warm, fuzzy, fascist kind of way.

This is a good post.
I just want to say to whatever happened to:
"Judge not lest ye be judged".-This is directed towards all the mudslinging the politicians are doing to each other and each other' parties.
"He who is without sin let him cast the first stone."-So Bush and Kerry were'nt perfect when they were young? So what.

I don't see anything Christian about any of it. Even if they say God is on their side.

I don�t like that the Republicans go after the Christian vote.

The Republican Party started moving in on the "church goers" to take the southern states in 80. Used to be no one in the south voted Republican cause of Lincoln being one. That's why you still have some dixiecrats in the party. Like Zell. Takes a while for the hatemongers to figure our which party is their party.

GOD does NOT get into politics first off. Secondly Kerry and Bush are both Bohemian Grove and Skull and Bones two well known satanic cults. you can not serve two masters, good and bad water do not flow from the same well etc. etc. Walking into a church on sunday for tv cameras dont make you a christian, and dressing up in satanic outfits and performing Satanic rituals pretty much means GOD aint for either SH*THEAD running.
