Feds Falsely Censor Popular Blog For Over A Year, Deny All Due Process, Hide All Details...

www.techdirt.com

Imagine if the US government, with no notice or warning, raided a small but popular magazine's offices over a Thanksgiving weekend, seized the company's printing presses, and told the world that the magazine was a criminal enterprise with a giant banner on their building. Then imagine that it never arrested anyone, never let a trial happen, and filed everything about the case under seal, not even letting the magazine's lawyers talk to the judge presiding over the case. And it continued to deny any due process at all for over a year, before finally just handing everything back to the magazin

You have to read this story to believe it....

The government has clearly run amok. And this doesn't even have a thing to do with terrorism.

If you ever had any doubts about SOPA or the Protect IP legislation...you won't after reading this.

Our government at work...amazing.

"Constitution?...we don't need no stinkin' Constitution"...

More lives turned upside down for nothing.

Can you feel the safety? It's so warm and snugly.

I hope someday the federal government is sued into totally subservience and forcible dissolved before can destroy every last one of us.

I think a 2nd revolution/2nd civil war is possible at this point.

I'm wondering how much more news of outrageous government action it will take before the sheeple wake up and see the deception that has been perpetrated against them for so long.

Quite a bit more unfortunately.

It's front page news when the government act with righteousness as in taking down these "rogue" sites. It's crammed into the bottom corner of page 9 in a size 8 font when they're caught mucking up terribly.

Every time a home is wrongfully raided by a SWAT team it's reported "Suspect not found during raid" implying the action was fully justifiable and in fact righteous and even going so far as to make the homeowner or occupants of the address the wrongful raid was on were somehow guilty of aiding whatever suspect the almighty and holier than thou cops were looking for.

It's a blurb here and there as the family attempts to sue for damages and the cops fail to produce any evidence or justification for their actions.

Obama could tap dance on Mother Theressa's head until she died of trauma and for a good 80-90% of American's it would be completely justified.

So as long as these abuses of power victimize small pockets every now and then nothing will change. The few will keep shouting "WTF FED?" and the many will just keep ignoring the world around them.

When free speech is outlawed only outlaws will have free speech. Long live free speech. I suspect the copywrong cartel used this as a tool to silence their competition so that they can remain the gatekeepers.

When you see the writing on the wall and the gravy train is set to end then legislate your way to prosperity, U.S. Constitution be damned. This seems to be the prevailing corporate philosophy these days.
