National guard unit refuses to answer questionaire about using lethal force on Americans Updated

I find this story a little hard to believe, but if it is true, then I salute the men and women of that National Guard Unit, Its kinda scary that there was even a questionare about whether or not they would kill their own citizens. I know one thing, if it did happen, "very unlikely" but if it did, I'd switch into a survival mode, contact all my friends and get ready to defend aganst any sort of actions taken to kill citizens of this country. Many of my friends are ex-military, and all are gun owners. My friends and I are all hunters and know our area and terrain extremely well, it would be like fighting the American Revolution, vastly out numbered , but that wouldnt matter, because Guerrilla warfare is extremely hard to beat, just look at vietnam, Iraq, Afganistan.

I just heard from Devon. He was TX’d by his Plt LDR and advised that the Specialist Who first layed down his weapon is being held in county jail by the Bn CMDR, awaiting a hearing under the UCMJ

He should be given the Medal of Honor. The tremendous courage he displayed against extreme peer pressure and military conditioning (to follow orders no matter what) should be rewarded not used against him. If I knew his name I would send a donation for his legal team. The questionaire is vague, it didn't say "use letal force against American public in cases of extreme martial law or coups, it just said use letal force against its citizens if ordered" which would be illegal wouldn't it be? And if it is illegal than he has every right to not follow orders and actually arrest his ordering superior. That is an example of one taking a stand and others following.

You have to be a moron to believe this story.

This is not a new thing....years ago the U.S. Military was asked the same question: "Would you be willing to fire on a U.S. citizen if given a direct order to. The results were not what the Military Leaders wanted....most said they could not do that.

It does not matter if the soldiers or national guard are willing to shoot. When the U.S. gets taken over or whatever...it will be foreign troops that police us. The U.S. government already knows that they will need foreign troops....

The Oathkeeper website says the story is uncomfirmed and now they are backtracking on it. Seems only a few folks in this thread took the time to check the link provided.

The part about the BN CDR putting the Specialist in the county jail? OMG The BS flag immediately went up. As was stated previously by other posters, it sounds like something from a cheesey patriotic movie.

It's always amazed me how some ATS'ers always talk about not believing the MSM about anything. But some website posts something that fits their agenda they go for it hook, line, and sinker.

I am a US Marine, and I can say with certainty that 95% of the Marines would not take arms against the citizens of the US period. The 5% can be considered MERC's in my opinion and they will not last long. I sit at home with a M40A5 (Remington 700, McMillian Stock etc, not my service rifle) along with many other tools when not deployed.

Any invading force that thinks they can take on the US Population is delusional, if you do not believe me go to a local outdoor 100yrd shooting range on any Saturday see the ordinance that general population is using. Better stuff than we have in the field.

And I for one would not re-sign my commission, I would however take arms up with the population against any hostile threats foreign or domestic. Try coming anywhere near me within 1000yrds...

Foreign troops policing America would result in possibly the largest and most costly uprising in human history.

In WW2, The Japanese and Germans did military studies involving a potential invasion of the US (never actually planned for, just doing preliminary intel), and both found that invasion would be extremely difficult and best to avoid because the percentage of armed Americans is so high.

IMO, that scenario is barely plausible. Extremely unlikely. Would not be practical.

If this ever happened, they should be prepared for total carnage. I think the numbers would be in the millions upon such action. Those in Washington would not be save, every single one of them would be targeted by the people and would be hunted down. I think the leadership would soon disappear and a new government would be put in place in short order.
Those in charge would be dreaming if they thought they wouldn't be targeted and hunted. Everyone knows who they are.

William Cooper in Behold a Pale Horse mentions this also...that the U.S. government knows it will need foreign troops. Also, if it ever comes down to this, there will not be a battle because my understanding is that the Government keeps a tally of "resisters" based on email/text/phone information. If u think the U.S. does not have the technology to do that..then your still knee deep in the Matrix bunky. When martial law comes, the Government will round up resisters likely at night. Cooper says they will round em up during a major holiday such as X-mas or thanksgiving because they know most will be home etc....

I have encountered more info on this than just Cooper. I have a big library haha. Anyways yes there are plans to police the U.S. citizens and it will involve foreigh troops....one of them most assuredly being the French

Not really the BN commander has this power but the NCO has to be brought in front of a USMJ within 8 days if I remember correctly. The only benefit I can see here is since the BN commander is the Accusor, he cannot run the investigation anymore, his superior has to. Lets hope there is some justice...

And just so everyone know, I am a commissioned officer in the US Marines.

Yes you do not want to mess with the heavily armed US Citizens of the this Beautiful Country. I was at the range yesterday with my wife, she kept hearing a BOOM, scared her a bit. I told her that that is a 50cal BigMAC that someone is playing with on a 100 yards range, she said is that better than your .308, I said 2 different beasts but if I had to head to head against one more of my attention would be used towards stalking and concealment considering I need to get within 600 yards or closer to get a clean shot. Where if any part of the .50 cal round hit me I would be missing and arm or much worse...

Might be a good time to upgrade my home sniper rifle to .338 Lapua rounds and get more distance and accuracy...

If we were to have an extreme economic melt down, rioting in the streets, etc....clearly the police cant handle it, so what are we supposed to just let looters run rampant?

Or how about a major disease outbreak? If we were able to catch it in time and quarantine a city, if the soldiers were given direct orders to shoot anyone who tries to escape, what should they say, "No" and potentially expose everyone?

I understand, orders are orders. But there is a big difference between shooting americans to save other americans or their property, compared to being given orders to shoot unarmed protesters at a rally.

As opposed to the "followed orders in unlawful wars for profit by those posed to gain" which they are usually given for? Yep I find his actions more honorable (taking a stand against killing of American Citizens after given an order, even if its a hypothetical scenario) than any other cannon fodder "good boy" awarding. Sorry I'm of the belief that soldiers are used as pawns for the above mentioned reasons if you haven't figured that out by now.

That's not to say I don't have respect for the soldiers because I highly respect them. It's unfortunate that our leadership is owned by bankers and international corportations and use the military for purely bloody greedy reasons.

I don't think most countries have the troops in sufficient number to do this and I doubt they would have the resolve to die in huge numbers. I'm skeptical that this is a viable path for the government. If they started rounding up people labeled as bad, they would just energize all the relatives and friends. I don't think that would work out well either.
I can think of a 100 things to do to inflict damage and I'm not a military man. The population is a lot smarter than the 3rd world countries they are used to dealing with, a whole new ball game.

Great post.What this really show's you is that the high ranking officers are no different then the politicians that create this stuff.There power hungry control freaks that only care about one thing,"an order",the men below them are nothing more then tools to become an extension of them self's (the BN commanders).

What will happen is TPTB will start filling the ranks with the 48% that recieve governmemt handouts and tell them that if they don't do what they are told the hand outs will stop.TPTB only need these people to do the job long enough for the UN troops to get here and do the real rounding up and killing.

There is no one to stop this catastraphic event, things have gone to far and there are to many country's that will never recover without the fall of the US and starting all over with the socialist/communist manifesto as there building block.The US is it, we are the last outpost.

Right on, Sailor, and happy to hail you. Most of my own family was Navy, back since the First World War. You are right here too, I was a soldier in the Guard for a time, and took the Oath, and I know what it means to me. As a National Guard soldier, I was charged with the defense of my Home State against all comers, foreign or domestic. My mission was not to turn my weapon on those I had sworn to protect. I applaud these people, my hat is off to them, and I offer a humble salute.

A battle between the citizens and an army made up by the social receive group, I like the citizens odds even more. They don't have the smarts or discipline to me a threat.
