Ron Paul Defends Zionism.... in a good way!

There are good reason to include Ron Paul. He is, in one sense, a true Zionist, a believer in two core values of the Jewish liberation movement: Jewish independence and Jewish self-reliance. Independence is self-explanatory; self-reliance, in the context of national defense, holds that the Jewish state shouldn't seek the help of foreign soldiers to defend it.

It didn't make sense to me that he wasn't included in the jewish forum debate but then again that was a private organization so they can't be forced to do anything.
However I do find the "We only want like minded people to debate" to be quite non-intellectual.

How does the pro-israel crowd feel about this video and arguments presented?

That should have surprised me but it didn't. What did is the reason they stated, his extremist views on Israel.

What extremist views are those? That Israel has every right to exist and protect itself? Or is it that Israel should be held accountable to the same international laws the rest of the world is? It's probably the latter.

The problem is, with the flare ups in the region caused by Israel and others, I don't think it would be wise to cut off all support as they do indeed have enemies that would like to capitalize on it.

something needs to give, either continue the support, admit the nukes, open them to inspection and sign the NPT while also HONESTLY working to resolve the "gaza question" or the aid stops. Canada, US and UK will always come to Israels aid in a time of need, and I don't see many people having a valid reason to be against that.

Paul is a very smart man, and that's dangerous in politics. He's polling very high and has a reasonable view on Israel, there is no chance this man wins an election and lives to see a full term, no chance.

Than again, i said the same thing about Obama.

hilary clinton, george bush senior and junior, obama and silverstein are all zionists and only 1 of them is a jew right ? they just use the jewish plight of ww2 to further their goals on the world stage right ?

I really wouldn't call Ron Paul a Zionist. The person that wrote the original article at the sun simply isn't understanding what Ron Paul is saying. He is saying it's none of our business what goes on over there.

I agree with damn near everything Ron Paul had to say. Non-Intervention. Let Israel control its own politics and let Israel survive via Free Market Capitalism and not the the crack addict dependency on American foreign aid that America uses to control its affairs.
