miliary making plans for global warming and mass riots in 2020

Was watching the news and some guy (no one official) called in and said that the military are making plans for global warming to be creating such problems in the year 2020 that there are already plans on the books for it now and that as a result of increased water levels and decreased land and food that they are expecting mass riots and military rule neccessary, anybody else heard anything like it being that serious this soon?

Anyway is there no one here who is a specialist on this sort of thing? I want to wrap myself in the warm and fuzzy knowledge that this will not happen and since I don't really know the guys credentials who said this (a random call in to a news show) I'm lookig for someone to tell me my kids and grandkids will be safe. I'm not expecting t be around in the year 2020 so for me I'm not worried.

Well I am no specialist, but you can never be sure what the military are planning for. I mean, ten years ago could you have even imagined things like 9/11 happening? The goverment has plans in place for all kinds of crazy scenarios.

Well said bzap... JT comes to mind when seeing these kind of topics. Anyhow my guess is that we'll all be under military rule way before 2020

Global warming is very slow, people will alomost not notice it, there will be no riots or something like this in economicaly strong countries (EU, USA, Japan, AUS etc.). However the things in poor 3rd world countries (especially populated lowlands like Bangladesh) could go very bad.

maybe the military plans for building large amounts of coal power plants in the antartic.......even if they dont oh well....but there will be riots.....in some parts of the US even with military rule.....because with military rule people dont like it.....if i were under military rule id shoot the soldiers myself for even listening to the government and some moronic president who let this happen
