Attempt Made On Deutsche Bank Head's Life: Explosive Package Addressed To CEO Intercepted, ECB Return Address Given
From Reuters: "A suspected parcel bomb addressed to Deutsche Bank chief executive Josef Ackermann was intercepted at a Deutsche office in Frankfurt on Wednesday, a senior U.S. law enforcement official said. The package was discovered around 1 p.m. Frankfurt time (7 a.m. EST/1200 GMT) in a mailroom, the official said. Initial analyses by investigators confirmed that it contained explosives and extra shrapnel, he told Reuters.

The official said the suspected bomb carried a return address from the European Central Bank, which is also headquartered in Frankfurt."

The revolt has been escalated a bit...

Remember this guy?
Alfred Herrhausen
Alfred Herrhausen was a German banker and Chairman of Deutsche Bank. Herrhausen fell victim to a sophisticated roadside bomb shortly after leaving his home in Bad Homburg on 30 November 1989. He was being chauffeured to work in his armoured Mercedes-Benz, with bodyguards in both a lead vehicle and another following behind. The bomb had been hidden in a saddle bag on a bicycle next to the road that the assassins knew Herrhausen would be traveling in his three-car convoy. In the bag was a 20 kg bomb that was detonated when Herrhausen's car interrupted a beam of infrared light as it passed the bicycle. The bomb targeted the most vulnerable area of Herrhausen's car—-the door where he was sitting—-and required split-second timing to overcome the car's special armour plating.

The last guy was assassinated. And it seems to me it was a top notch hit job... which not amateurs could do... was it a plan hit?

Is this first ``bomb parcel`` a warning to current Deutsche Bank CEO to go along with the elite?

Edit : a very true comment from a poster on ZH :
Some idiot sends a letter bomb to a banker and it's a Tragedy.

Some banker signs a letter ruining millions of lives and it's a Statistic.

And one is a ``doubleplus terrorist crime`` and the other is ``business as usual``. What a world we live in.

CNBC are also reporting that NYPD Warns New York Banks to Be on Alert After Letter Bomb Sent to CEO of Deutsche Bank in Germany.

Anger against banks is certainly escalating and the way Australian banks are beginning to behave, there will and should be some more anger directed at this mob as well.

Hopefully it doesn't catch on.

Yeah because failures like that are so a bummer.

Kidding.

Funny story about Ackermann...

In an interview with ZDF (german television) in may last year, the host Maybrit Illner asked Ackermann about a "debt moratorium" to wipe out Greece's debt...
Ackermann answered: if he supported that position, he might suffer the same fate as Alfred Herrhausen.

Alfred Herrhausen advocated partial debt write-offs for heavily indebted countries like Mexico back in his days as a Chairman of Deutsche bank, which caused "anger and furious rejection" amongst his banker colleagues...

The bomb attack in 1989 was allegedly committed by the german RAF (Red Army Faction), which is highly questionable. The whole story around the Herrhausen-assasination is still an unsolved mystery to this day.

The bankers are growing tired and suicidal. They won't jump from their office buildings just yet, but they will eventually all blow themselves up when the guilt kicks in. Kill yourselves you corrupt bastards!

I wondered the same. While the idea of these sneaky, unscrupulous bstards being exploded is increasingly favourable, there's no way of knowing which ones are trying to help somehow and blow the whistle.

Saying that, it's time people chose a side and if you're the CEO of Deutsche Bank when the public does finally have enough - too bad for you.

Occupy Frankfurt dissociates oneself from this. Source
