It's not his fault for others failing to harden and encrypt their WiFi signals. Besides, seeing what they have all stolen means that a little internet access is far minute by comparison.

Based on your reply...I guess it's OK for all of us to come to your home for whatever we might need. We won't be asking, just taking....You basically said it's just fine by you.

Now, did that make any sense to you at all......

Oh No Dear...I mean *everything* at your home. Stealing is stealing....no matter what it is...

I also see you may have had a slight change of mind, seeing as you have now edited your reply to me to include this line...

*Theft is wrong! We are better then that!* This is a good thing....your mind is working in a good way.

The founder were wrong on many things...slavery, not letting women vote, killing off the natives.

Why is it so surprising to you that people have differing opinions with the "founders"...they are irrelevant today...they aren't gods to be worshipped.

In todays world, the founders would be viewed as extremist idiots...I doubt if they would even get 1% of any vote.

Saying the founding fathers would be considered extremist idiots in today's world is not only stupid, but makes me wonder where you stand. Come on now,.... I guess Galileo, Newton, Darwin and Robert Boyle were idiots too according to you, because they lived in a society hundreds of years ago that happened to have social ideas different from ours today.

We're not trying to resurrect slavery. We don't worship the founding fathers, we're trying to keep Government small, clean of corruption and stop it from interfering with our lives at every step. My family didn't escape a communist country so we could end up in one all over again. The beauty of America to us was always the fact that there was as little interference from the Government in our lives as possible, while in our Communist country you couldn't turn around without the Government breathing down your neck. Things are starting to feel all too familiar these days, and we don't like it one bit. If the founding fathers miraculously came back to life and decided to run for office, hell yes I'd vote for them.

This is so far from irrelevant it is not funny, Denying someone access to the internet because they can't afford a $70 + a month internet connect card. Deny someone access to something that's fast becoming a right?

Someone does have to pay yes, a small tax to guarandamntee that the entire land area of The United States Of America is one massively giant WiFi hotspot is the end result here and care not for what anyone thinks about this.

For every major advancement comes a small price!

You again? Time for a spanking I Guess.

The internet is not a right. Never has been.

The companies providing free WIFI, at the ISP level, are doing so under the guise of Free.
It is not free, nothing ever is. They charge higher fees to the paying customers, get a tax right off from the Govt and then get to parade around as if they are the Champions of the Internet.
But, so long as the Keynesian Economic plans of Obama and Company keep marching, it will always appear as free, so long you ignore your Pay Statement and the amount TAKEN from you, to give to the others.

However true you may be, are we to not to do the same to them that they've done to us?

I guess that depends on who "they" are. If Comcast paying customers have to pay more so that Comcast can provide govt with free access to broadband, how fair is that? This whole idea of justice and equality through socialism is really not truly fair.
If taxpayers are then going to be forced to pay for more broadband, then again, those who pay taxes will suffer while those who do not pay taxes will get the benefit. We know that people work the system.
I guess everyone just justifies their personal way of working the system.

So you have a password for your wifi but you think others who engage in Wardriving are ok? So they can steal from others just not you personally?

I would like to remind that Wardriving is considered unauthorized access. People who do not know how to configure their wireless lans for optimum security still do not deserve to have their personal data stolen or their bandwidth stolen. However, this becomes murky when wifi systems are open, and that is why I made my statement about how the wireless community does allow for some open access.

Access to the internet is fast becoming a right and like a right all are entitled to it,

The UN report from 2004 declaring it as a right :
www.du.edu...

So much of the world in regards to peer to peer, business, industry has so much money invested in the web it'll blow your eardrums right out. Besides energy, finance, manufacturing and entertainment the internet is a Trillion dollar a year industry.

The internet is as right as it ties directly with Free Speech, Assembly, Expression, Education and basic essential services! It keeps family and friends who cross boundaries connected regardless the distance and allows for new business ventures be possible thus spurring on the economy and making us a dynasty again as the roots of the web can mostly be traced to The US which means for the most part The Internet today is of an American creation! Go America, leading the frontier as usual on yet another medium! We rock!

Others,
This stance that Obama took recently that necessitated the need for this here thread which is of no real importance nor relevance as it's simply an out of context item which people are trained to exclusively study for weaknesses, vulnerabilities, and potential soft target zones so that every little thing said regardless of importance so that the intelligence learned and garnered can be used against him and others on the ticket.

Instead of always being quick to nitpick at every little thing said how about for one do people please try to understand exactly what is being said. This new push for New Nationalism every nation can get behind, hence the sequencing of both the Nationalism speech and the "Battlefield" bill, Regardless if you are a fan of Obama or not the message he recently was delivering the other day I in fact stand united and firm with him on it. The message is, "Let's stop this stupid and moronic infighting and let's actually get to work here to make this (I hate to say the following and never thought I did but my national allegiance is currently and will forever be The United States Of America) once great (
) nation great again!" If you don't like Obama never turn your back ever on The United States Of America and America we all need to come together like yesterday it was needed and still is not here. When are we gonna stop the mindless bickering and actually get along?

This is all that is being asked of us. This is from as being as impartial as possible your President being Presidential for which we all require of each of our POTUS' is the ability to hold the entire nation at the seams when times get tough or are tough like they are as we speak do we not?

There is an underlying reason that however cannot be discussed at this time and no time frame for revelation be issued at this point in time!

Aparently not everyone here regards the OP as BS. I would refer you to some of the other posters explanations of it, as my going over it is just redundant.

My point about Sensenbrenner and the court proceedings regarding the Attorney General is that the AG is an Obama appointee, and if Holder is brought down, it could have a domino effect. It is likely that the POTUS knew precisely what was going on and supported it. It is likely that he knows exactly what his czars and appointees are doing. I'm sure he is doing something else besides golfing and vacationing and condemning our Founding Fathers and the real American Way while propping up the most Statist and Totalitarian Presidents ever.

People agree with the "sentiment" in the OP...but as far as the claim that President Obama ever said "Limited Gov't That Preserves Free Markets 'Doesn't Work. It Has Never Worked"

That is directly contradicted by his actual words and the transcript of the speech.

So perhaps offer me some other explanation why folks are fevershly and once again championing a lie in order to fondle their own particular political opinions?

Again...we will never improve our politics unless we begin with HONEST debate.

So "because the UN says so" is basically your answer?

So by that rational, phones and service should be free, cars and transportation should be free and so on.
You have the right to have access to the Internet.
You do not have the right to get it for free.
Someone, somewhere has to pay for your Utopian World nonsense.
All you do is regurgitate want-to-be Haiku attempts.

Connection to the Internet is not a right.
Please, PLEASE show me where in the Constitution it states this?

Oh wait, I know where it is. Right next to the Separation of Church and State and Free Health Care.

Look you can dance around this all you want, but the basic fact is that Obama is for socialism and a Totalitarian One World govt and he is against limited govt. He has expanded the role of govt in our lives like no one has since FDR.
So dance around it all you want, but we do understand what he is doing.
Also, why is suddenly Nationalism is all right after conservatives have been bashed repeatedly with the idea that Nationalism is terrible and fascistic but now Obama decides it's a great thing and suddenly everyone is on board with it? Just completely fascinating to watch this song and dance. Obama won't wear a flag pin on his lapel or put his hand over his heart for the national anthem but national socialism is perfectly fine with him.

Phone access is so cheap it's ridiculous and sometime in the next like less then 10 years that it will be free just like how internet prices have already apexed and do not seem to be on a rise anymore.

Right to Assembly clause of the 1st Amendment as we all assemble on some website or another!

Hook, line, sinker, SUNK!

We have a right to assembly and free speech with or without the Internet or broadband access. You can walk out your front door and assemble with any of your neighbors. Free speech is not equal to free Internet Access.

If you are against this then all hope for you is lost and that is that you are for what is going on. For Americans being forced to starve and die prematurely because they may not be able to afford it. That's right, others of your ideals are for forced child labour.

I apologize if it seems I am attacking you or your ideals but this you speak of I truly wholeheartedly do not beleive that of which you speak? My intention is admirable and sincere and do trust I would not ever deny you your Constitutional right of Free Speech! I am not trying to pick a fight with you. We are all being hit. I bet your lifestyle has been reduced in some aspect as a direct result of this mess. This is a push for us to finally stop the crud and actually look at who and what has led us into this great pile of horse turd that now sits in front of us for as far as the eye can see. Tax breaks for the rich are not the answer.

What do you suggest we do without adhering to partisan talking points?

God - Family - Community - Government shall be everyone's order!

Nice try, Indigo5, but you're wasting your keystrokes. The one thing that's crystal clear in this thread is that many here have literally no interest in the truth. That truth has been pointed out several times and has been completely ignored. As long as they have a convenient (although bald-faced) lie with which to spout their hatred of the President, libs, conservatives, lefties, righties, progressives, socialists, commies and whoever else they want to throw their bovine feces at, it's all good. As I said in an earlier post, deny ignorance is out, embrace ignorance is in. I agree totally with your statement; " we will never improve our politics unless we begin with HONEST debate". At least there are a few posters here that have it right. Our two-party system is a joke.

Anyhow, good luck, fellow truth-seeker. I hope that you'll find what you're looking for.

I know the doc better then most so in this regard what I say is right because it happens to be 100% factual and not some idiotic spun propaganda and is fact!

The reason for this thread was a misconception that has already been disproven!

Watch the speech on YouTube and take the political blinders off for awhile and see for yourself the innate reason for this.

So when does the parents start getting billed for WiFi usage during school by the kids or when does the bills start showing up in parents mailboxes for kid's internet access during school via the school infrastructure? When?
