Is there a hidden meaning behind the laughs to this ? , I have no idea, it just seem odd that it was taken up by Colbert.

I don't really find it odd at all. Jon Stewart always tries to have notable people on his show and often they come off as dry. Colbert, on the other hand, usually has nuts on his show because they are good for laughs. I thought that whole section was pretty hilarious.

It is kind of a regular thing he does. He talks to nuts that say crazy things and tries to present it satirically as if they are important and not crazy at all. This just happened to be the latest.
I understand how a CT takes the target but seriously, that was all about penises. Denver Airport aside, that dude is nuts.

You realize that Stephen Colbert is a satirical humorist, correct?

Mocking the crazy is always good for a bit of fun. And, the DIA so-called "conspiracy" is way up there on the 'woo-woo' factor.
