Abortion Battle Heats Up on The Hill

On Tuesday, he'll chair a House hearing in support of his latest legislative effort, the Prenatal NonDiscrimination Act (PreNDA). The measure would ban abortions done on the basis of gender or race.

"It would simply say that you cannot discriminate against the unborn by subjecting them to an abortion based on their race or sex," Franks says.

He points to a finding by the Guttmacher Institute: "...the abortion rate for black women is almost five times that for white women." Franks also believes that sex-selection abortions are on the rise in the U.S. and notes a Zogby International poll that found 86 percent of those surveyed believed gender-based abortion choices should be illegal.

From 7 years ago - ATS Thread - Abortion is Black Genocide

The pro-abortion no matter what folks are screaming ... 'anti-choice!' (no surprise)

The anti-abortion no matter what folks are screaming ... 'the choice was made when you said yes to sex .. save lives!' (no surprise there either)

Well .. either it's legal or it's not. Either it's right or it's wrong. Either he's protecting unborn children against the ultimate form of racism ... death because of their skin color .... or he's not. Either he's protecting unborn children against the ultimate form of sexism ... death because of gender .. or he's not.

The bill calls for up to 5 years in jail for killing an unborn child based on race or gender. I don't know how you'd prove that a black skinned mother killed her unborn child because the child was black. It's true abortion stats for black skinned Americans are MUCH higher (Racist nutter Margaret Sanger would be very happy) ... but I don't know how you could prove that someone killed their child in the womb due to skin color and not some other reason.

Side note - It looks like this has no chance of passing.
I'm posting for anyone who thinks this is interesting ...

It would be completely against Roe V Wade. Not to mention it's no one's business WHY someone chooses an abortion. It's good that this will never see the light of day...

Yep, let alone the fact that this is once again an attempt to get involved with what should be a personal matter, legislation based on race for abortion is, well, stupid. You're targeting certain pregnant women based on race? So we're equating the value of race again? Because the african american population is declining, we should favour them? Yea... and this guy is pro-life?
