First Frances, then Ivan.... where is Gaston and Hermine

The hurricanes are alphabetical, (see page) Gaston and Hermine seem to be missing, were they still born?

Coming up will be Jeanne, Karl and Lisa

Isn't it all tropical storms that get names and not just the ones that turn into hurricaines? Tropical storms in the atlantic and pacific are each named in alphabetical succession. Not all of them hit Florida and make the news... many just fizzle out, or hit South America.

Gaston flooded out Virginia and Hermine petered out off New England.

Six years later and THIS YEAR'S Gaston is still alive and kickin and Hermine is headed right up the middle of the Dirty Dirty South.

What about the toxic muck from the Gulf?

Will it hitch a ride on a Hurricane and lovingly spread itself all across the Lone Star State and then some?
