I am in the middle of remodeling our living room and I wanted 2 things: Color and a tree.
I got them both:

This shows the three colors:

The windsock is not part of the decor. We brought it in because of heavy snow.

The green area is the dog grooming/eating area:

That looks awesome!
I love how the tree separates yet at the same time blends the colours.

The first thing that popped into my head when I saw the tree was my own understanding of Karma!

The Fung shui looks comfy

looks really good well done, very inspiring.

Amazing how just two colours and some black boarder look like so much more than the sum of the parts

The tree looks great. Very artistic. I like the way the colors go together also.

BTW: You just had to sneak in a pic of your dog in there didn't you.

Now he's gonna get a big head because he'll think he's a celebrity or something.

I love it! Looks great!

I did it too, although mine isn't finished.

Debating whether to use the color on the crown or not...

Nice work OP!

Looks nice, I really like the separation of colors on that one wall. It looks like you need to repaint your base boards and the rainbow thing looks tacky compared to the rest of the art in the room. Arnt those things supposed to go out side?

Great work. Maybe you could spruce up that tree by adding small leaf-shaped picture frames?. Everything else looks great.

Thank you for being so honest!

We haven't put in the baseboards yet. That's next.

And the windsock definitely goes outside. We brought it in because we just had a major storm. It's NOT part of the decor. LOL

While I'm not much of an artsy type, I think what you have there--the tree and division of colors--is absolutely beautiful. I like it very much.

Thank you. That means a lot to me.

I did this room as I might do a piece of art. In other words, I had a general idea of the 'feeling' I wanted to create (warm, sanctuary, home), but didn't know exactly what I was going to do to achieve it. I picked the orange and green paint and painted the pellet stove wall orange. Then I made the decision to separate the next wall with color, to create a functional area "behind" the living room for doggie needs. I didn't want to use a straight or diagonal line, so I came up with the tree. It was a fun project.

I wanted a color that "popped" against the muted tones, so I picked the peacock blue. LOL Very fun color.

I like it. Love the natural earth tones and the whole concept.

Your use of the two colours and the tree to seperate them is fantastic. It would really enhance the focal point of the tree and what a great conversation starter!!

I once went to a friends house who had painted a tree on their wall and they would get visitors to draw a leaf & write their names in the leaf (only on the first visit) which I thought was a great idea.
