Hatred for police - One of the biggest reasons for the recent UK riots

The riots were nothing more than organised looting .
I have no sympathy for the lazy chavs who claim they are maltreated by the establishment.

Absoloutely NO surprise that the Guardian rag was involved in this "research"- do they really think these criminals are going to give them an honest answer, of course they are going to waffle about being treated as "equals" by the police (what in the name of good frig!?!?!), the Guardianistas love trying to blame the crimes by "urban" "yoof" on some sort of oppression.

Total rot, these people were morally bankrupt, and Id love to see the study on their home lives I am willing to bet a kidney that most came from non stable homes where daddy is not about and mummy likes to bring home a new "uncle" every now and then- the same sort of lifestyle Guardian reading dullards like to promote.

While I can understand the hatred towards the police.. I also have some sympathy for them since they are no longer taught how to be police men and have moved into becoming officers of law and enforcement

As for the riots they where bound to happen considering the greed at the top is filtering all the way down to the bottom.. it seems to be about the only trickle down effect that is working

In my opinion the only way the situation is going to change is if we change direction away from commercialism and marry that to fundamental changes in our systems of governance which returns amongst other things policemen to our streets.

While there's no doubt that Britain carried out some terrible atrocities in India, I have to query that 1.8bn figure and seriously contend that these deaths could be predominantly attributed to British colonisation.

Due to the caste system, India had rampant social inequality long before the British took control, and still has rampant social inequality long after the British have left.

Anyway, on Topic. I can understand how the stop and search policies of the police can cause resentment in certain communities, the police may find it a useful tactic, but it is going to be perceived as collective punishment by that community. Not every black kid wearing a hoodie and low slung jeans is a drug dealer. It creates an us against them attitude in these communities.

I don't really blame the police though. It must be a tough job and coming up with the right tactics to tackle crime in certain parts of the UK must be extremely difficult.
