There's been much speculation on here that the polls released on TV for the GOP race are rigged from the start. Supposedly, they're done by research groups who call random people. But you never know, they could be targeting certain demographics or something else to make the polls less than honest.

So here's my idea. Each member on here opens their phone book and calls 10 random people. Say we're from a research group (we kinda are) and quickly ask who they are voting for in 2012. Post the first 10 results on here and we can keep a running tally of the votes.

This way we can get a true poll from many different sources which makes the margin of error slim and accuracy true to real life.

ok i picked up my phone and did like the OP suggested. i have the following

3 Ron Paul

2 Newt Gingrich
2 Mitt Romney
2 Barrack Obama
1 undecided.

all in California and called at random.

my question was If you where to vote tomorrow for president, who would you vote for?

i imagine that should i repeat this test it would have different results every time

I'm not going to pester my neighbors and ask them a PRIVATE question under false pretenses to satisfy my (or your) curiosity...

Do you think Ron Paul would approve of these tactics?
