I am posting this for all the people who claim to be Democrat. I am doing this because I can't tell you how many people I have talked too that when I
ask what party they are going to vote for respond with "I'm a Democrat". I usually reply with "Oh, so you are a Socialist". When I say this they
almost always vehemently deny being Socialist and swear up and down they are not Socialist. I have come to the conclusion that most Democrats are
either embarrassed to be labeled the Socialist that they really are or they are so in the dark about politics they do not know that the Democratic
Party is just the Socialist Party that hijacked the Democratic Party.
The Democratic Socialists of America is a Socialist/Communist organization that was founded in 1982 after a merger between the Democratic Socialist
Organizing Committee (DSOC) and the New American Movement
The Congressional Progressive Caucus was established in 1991 by six members of the United States House of Representatives: Representatives Ron Dellums
(D-CA), Lane Evans (D-IL), Thomas Andrews (D-ME), Peter DeFazio (D-OR), Maxine Waters (D-CA), and Bernie Sanders (I-VT).
It is a fact the Progressive Caucus is the largest political group within the Democratic Party making up over 1/3 of all Democrats in the House with
more voted in each election.
It is also a fact the Progressive Caucus was formed by the the Democratic Socialist of America and as stated on their website is the working arm of
Aren't you a party that's in competition with the
Democratic Party for votes and support?
No, we are not a separate party. Like our friends and allies in the feminist, labor, civil rights, religious,
and community organizing movements, many of us have been active in the Democratic Party. We work with
those movements to strengthen the party’s left wing, represented by the Congressional Progressive Caucus.
The process and structure of American elections seriously hurts third party efforts. Winner-take-all
elections instead of proportional representation, rigorous party qualification requirements that vary from state
to state, a presidential instead of a parliamentary system, and the two-party monopoly on political power have
doomed third party efforts. We hope that at some point in the future, in coalition with our allies, an alternative
national party will be viable. For now, we will continue to support progressives who have a real chance at
winning elections, which usually means left-wing Democrats."
You can read that plus the rest of their Socialist/Communist agenda here
I want you to know this is neither an attack or condemnation of the Democratic Party or an endorsement for the Republican Party. I just think that if
people are going to vote for a certain party they should actually know what that party really is. Please reserve any responses or self serving
justifications of or for the Republican party for another thread, I just want to know if "Democrats" really know they are Socialists or if they are
just being fooled.
