Hola, I figured this would be the best place for this question. Does anybody know what would cause my profile name to suddenly be all lowercase? It was always "Cuervo" but now it's "cuervo". When I go into my profile, it's still spelled with a capital but not elsewhere. I almost didn't post this but I thought maybe there are others who this happened to who don't want to post it either so I guess I'll be their huckleberry.

What would cause this and how do I fix it?

That is classic...too funny!

Anyway OP...it looks okay in lower case letters...but I can understand how you could miss that capital "C".

Odd though...I'll be curious to see if mine doesn't go the other way...maybe I'll get all capitals!

They have no sense of humor they're aware of and capital letters look a bit funny. I suspect someone's probation might be the reason.

Yippy...big "C" is in the house!

What was the problem anyway...and how did it get changed?

You were infringing on the tequila company's trademark name. To make it different and save ATS and yourself from being slapped with a lawsuit, it had to be changed.
You should've emailed them and asked permission.
Please do so now (if you're 21 or older): www.cuervo.com...

Then, again. I may be wrong.

Cuervo is just a word, though. It means "crow" in Spanish. You can't trademark a basic word. Otherwise you couldn't say "dove", "snicker", "swan", or several other words that are part of a trademarked name. If I were in competition with them with a similar product, maybe I'd see that.

Yeah, weird.

And to Jerry: I didn't do anything other than post this thread. It either resolved itself or some benevolent mod fixed it behind the scenes.

Strange... but your name has a capitol letter in that post, but not in the others posted here.

That's a new one on me.

I see what you're saying. I was just pointing out why it might have been replaced with a lower case letter.
You never know, you may have ticked off ol' Jose.

While I'm a fan of Jose, I'd never try to replace him or represent him on the forums. A man of my power would be too much for the world to handle if bestowed with the moniker of "Jose Cuervo". It would be like giving Gandalf the One Ring.
