Chinese General Threatens "Third World War" To Protect Iran!

www.infowars.com

A military General from the Chinese National Defense University says that China should not hesitate to protect Iran, even if it means launching world war three, as more US warships are dispatched to the region amidst heightening tensions.

China has vehemently reaffirmed its alliance with Iran in recent weeks, most notably yesterday when it refused to criticize Iran for a raid on the British Embassy in Tehran launched by Iranian students earlier this week.

China has also said that an attack on Pakistan would be considered an attack on China! We must remember that the Peoples Liberation Army has categorically stated that they consider the Communist Party higher than the Chinese government. It can thus be inferred that it is the PLA Generals who are the power centers controlling foreign policy and security issues and not the government.

The breakneck speed of militarization of China with fancy weapon systems including missiles, stealth aircraft, aircraft carriers etc is a pointer to this change in equations.

It wouldn't be a world war - it would be a "reduce china to a smoking ruin and hide from the fallout" war......

Can always tell the Americans...China would not allow itself to become a "smoking ruin", even if their allies would not attack (North Korea anyone?) they would lob a few missiles towards the US just to make sure there wasn't a winner. Also, no one knows what Russia would do if the unthinkable were to happen.

Feels very strange and unappropriate to see how the talks about World War Three seem normal and imminent. Most of all, how the war in general is presented to our society (video games and movies, for example). It feels like World War Three is an inevitable future for our planet. Not what I wish for, but there is too much attention towards war and rumors of war to not think that way.

The headline of this post allows the reader to interpret General Zhang's statement as though it was an announcement from China's government when in fact this is not the case.

Much ado about nothing.

For those who are not familiar with General Zhang, he is not a serious military figure but a TV personality. Because of his many stupendously, idiotic predictions during the 2nd Iraq war, he became a laughing stock, a Chinese version of Baghdad Bob.

Party bosses let Zhang run his mouth to please the ego of conservative audience and give Chinese government a macho apperance. He is a tool and a clown, nothing more.

Exactly.

I'm really weary of Alex Jones. I hadn't watched him since I was like 17. He likes to over exaggerate but this time is a little different. I couldn't see the video on Live Leak but I found this,

I'm very suspicious of the claim that this general/professor has such sway over Chinese foreign policy determination. Besides that the only practical rational for military interventionism from the PLA would center on the port in Gwadar and that Iran makes up ~ 1/10 of China's energy security. If American policy chased after these two Chinese interests then I would expect to hear some heightened rhetoric from heavyweights in the PRC government, but not some roguish general.

In a realistic sense, I'd say there are very real Russian citizens on the ground as technicians, advisers and contractors in Iran at places like the Nuclear Power Plant they built for Iran and is long term servicing for them.

China on the other hand has real troops and military infrastructure in Pakistan of all places as of this past year for a series of joint Sino-Pakistani military exercises. One major exercise having been going on for the better part of November, there in Pakistan.

It would seem the opposition has pretty well divided up which Major power is taking which counter-attack responsibilities if the balloon does go up.

I'm looking for those cooler heads everyone always talks about.......and I'm sure not seeing any yet.

Oh, I won't argue anymore (about the West not pushing war as well). It takes two to tango on something like this and the interested parties of both sides are starting to really line up and become obvious. I don't think anyone can say for sure how many of the nations apparently starting to take serious sides will be shooting...or we just don't want to face the idea it might be all of them on both sides.

NATO and the Western Powers are doing every bit as much pushing by choice and/or miscalculation as the nations lining up against. Likewise, either side of this could start dialing it down...and hopefully will. For the West it's the Missile Shield. For the other side it's pretty much Iran's Nuclear Program as the deal breaker...and as you note for NATO, but is true for both, no one is backing down.

Well at least we know there is a missile shield..
Iran's nuclear program is pretty unclear with only old, unsubstantiated stories and not much else.

I thought China was a town in New York. Why would they go to war with us?

Finally. Maybe we can get this show on the road.

People are to ignorant to have alarm bells going off in their head when Russia ASKs us to remove the systems. Why would Russia ask us to remove the systems? We have no randomly engaged a Nation. Russia should have no fears unless it plans on feature wars.

Russia has proven they will randomly have a full scale invasion of a nation. Within the past 5 years. Georgia for example.

Georgia was not harobring full scale terrorist organizations that were striking dozens of nations and supplying terrorist in the other parts of the world with means to do so as wel.

The trouble is that you don't read the following posts before commenting. I had very categorically mentioned that:
"We must remember that the Peoples Liberation Army has categorically stated that they consider the Communist Party higher than the Chinese government. It can thus be inferred that it is the PLA Generals who are the power centers controlling foreign policy and security issues and not the government."

....Which I'm sure you've not read. Now does that clear things up a bit?

Russians to be frank are not interested in war. They want to be rich, want to live like the nouveu rich of Moscow and St.Petersburg.As for Iran's nuclear energy program what proof is there that iran wants nukes.

Russia is not warmonger USSR today.NATO on the other hand seems to be socialist trotskyite communist 'paradise'.
Enjoy the TSA and US bill to detain and murder people without warrant.Enjoy paying banks and taxes to those who crush small business and take jobs away.
