Islamists Target Egypt's Christians

This article is very informative..It's dated back awhile, but I haven't seen any other sources put material together this good.. it describes the relationship between the Coptic Christians and Islamist Radicals and the situation which has developed after Egypt's recent ouster of President Hosni Mubarak back in February,and it's ties to the elections happening now.

Also it supplies links and sources that tell the story of the Christian plight and subsequent problems arising due to the Awakening of Islam and it's condemnation of Coptic Christians.

Since February, violent Islamists have exploited an atmosphere of "lawlessness" to assert that they are in control, said Coptic American activist Michael Meunier. Meunier, who is currently visiting Egypt, told the Investigative Project on Terrorism that the government's refusal to challenge anti-Christian violence has "provided a way out to criminals and encouraged violent attacks."

The on-going strife that continues through Egypt boils down to Radical Islamist views and the Muslim Brotherhood enforcing Sharia - Law upon all...which is also happening in Syria.

Thousands of Muslims attacked and besieged Copts in elGhorayzat village, population 80,000, killing two Copts and severely wounding others, as well as looting and torching homes and businesses. A quarrel between a Copt, John Hosni, and Mahmoud Abdel-Nazeer, who later died in hospital, turned into collective punishment of all Copts in the majority Christian village of elGhorayzat, in the Maragha district of Sohag province. Muslims vowed not to bury Abdel-Nazeer until John Hosni is punished. Mr. Hosni fled from the village with his family, “fearing a wholesale massacre of Copts,” reported activist Mariam Ragy.

When Muslims in the West continue to push for special rights and status - this ought to be conditional upon Christian or other minority communities in the muslim world being accorded the same rights.

this sad because i believe the coptic christians practice the real teachings of Jesus.

Hosni Mubarak lost power in Egypt earlier this year and the former friend of America was rebuked by President Obama of America. Obama stated that “Egypt will never be the same” and that the peaceful movement “bent the arc of history.” However, words are cheap because the military maintained its power and the Muslim Brotherhood is the most powerful Islamic movement in the world when it applies to ideology.

And then we have the weapons being supplied to fuel the conflict and create possible larger military involvment.

PASCAGOULA, Miss. - The U.S. Navy announced the launch of the first Egyptian Navy Fast Missile Craft (FMC) from VT Halter Marine's Pascagoula, Miss., shipyard, Oct. 20, marking a key milestone in the ship's construction process.

The primary mission of the FMC is to conduct independent and joint operations, primarily against armed surface adversaries. The Egyptian Navy has a requirement for a vessel with the capabilities of an FMC to combat these threats and to patrol and defend its coastal waterways of the Red Sea, Mediterranean Sea, and in particular, the Suez Canal.

" The original contract for the program was awarded to VT Halter in November 2005. Since then, the U.S. has awarded the shipbuilder more than $800 million for the ships. "

Christianity survived in some areas, for example in Egypt, however, numbers succumbed after Arab colonial and Islamic discrimination took route. Therefore, a complete Islamic inquisition took root in Arabia (modern day Saudi Arabia) and just like the Sunni Islamic inquisition against Buddhism and Hinduism in Afghanistan, you now have complete Islamization.
