And can people please explain to me what they see in Winamp? It's awful! Especially in terms of user-friendliness.

I found this when I first tried it having been a hardcore Windows Media Player user. It takes some getting used to but I find it far less obtrusive and easier to sort playlists, media library etc. As I say it takes a bit of getting used to but I wouldn't go back where I can help it. Only trouble is sometimes mine gets a bit fussy over some DivX files which WMP plays fine but I think I have a dodgy install of a plugin that screws it up a bit.

It's all a personal choice!

Infedlic,

One of my many problems with Winamp is this:
Winamp Skins Exploit

If you care to open your 'puter up to that, when you already have a fully competent player embedded in the O/S?! All I can say is, "have at it?!"

Same goes for Real Player! :shk:

Fair enough there was an exploit but if you read the rest of the article it mentions a fix. Are you honestly trying to tell me that WMP is 100% bug free. Anyway I tend not to download skins or even visualisations for winamp as I don't tend to use them with the exception of the default ones.

There are loads of exploits for WMP.

Not at all.
It's part of Windows

Personally, I use the media player that came with my Creative sound card.
