China's communist government announced last week that it is seeking to erect a "national boundary" to restrict access to the Internet, reports
intelligence newsletter Geostrategy-Direct.
China has an estimated 60 million Internet users, and Chinese authorities periodically conduct crackdowns on Internet cafes and arrest users who
access "unauthorized" information, such as information about the banned Falun Gong religious group or foreign media outlets.
