It’s sad that human can keep their eyes closed against so much evidence. The underwater volcanos are most likely the cause of heating the water and not the absorption of CO2.

”If the world should blow itself up, the last audible voice would be that of an expert saying it can’t be done.” - Peter Ustinov

Submarine volcanism accounts for 80% of all volcanic activity on the planet and 75% of all magma output. We can look at all the recent activity at the hotspot of Ascension Island near Antarctica as one such indicator that the world is rapidly morphing…

New research shows the Southern Ocean is storing more heat than any other ocean in the world. The study, carried out by Tasmania’s Antarctic Climate and Ecosystem centre, has found that carbon dioxide levels in the Southern Ocean will be corrosive to some shellfish by 2030 if current trends continue. Scientists say deep moving currents around Antarctica are the reason why the Southern Ocean is warming faster than other oceans. The Southern Ocean occupies about 22 per cent of the area of the total ocean, and yet it absorbs about 40 per cent of the carbon dioxide and about half the heat that’s stored by the ocean,” climate scientist Steve Rintoul says. Dr. Rintoul says the warming extends for four kilometres, from the ocean surface to the sea floor. He says satellite measurements show the Southern Ocean has been warming by about 0.2 degrees Celsius per decade. “One of the impacts of a warming ocean may be that the ice that flows off Antarctica into the ocean may melt more rapidly,” he said. “Once that ice reaches the ocean and is floating, if we melt it, it doesn’t change the sea level because that ice is already floating, just like an ice cube in your drink, when it melts it doesn’t cause the cup to overflow.” But what does happen is that as the ice floating around the edge of Antarctica thins and breaks up and disappears, the ice that’s on the continent slides off the continent into the sea more rapidly, and that does increase sea level rise. “In the last few years we found that some parts of Antarctica are thinning rapidly, indicating that ice is flowing off the continent into the ocean and causing an increase in sea level.” The Southern Ocean has helped absorb the Earth’s excess heat and carbon dioxide. But Dr. Rintoul says as carbon dioxide dissolves, it changes the chemistry of sea water. “As we dissolve carbon dioxide in the ocean we change the chemistry and eventually we’ll cross the threshold between waters where the shells are stable, and waters where the sea water’s actually corrosive to the shell material and starts to dissolve the shells that the animals are making,” he warned. “We used to think that threshold would be crossed in about 2050 in the Southern Ocean. We now understand that that’s likely to happen a few decades earlier, perhaps as soon as 2030

Our Mother the Earth is preparing to birth her core at the Weddell Sea in Antarctica. Watch the temperatures go through the roof in this region by August 2012. We are soon to go home, into the fifth world and the orbit of Venus...

Really? Cause I thought the conservative agenda was claiming it was just the sun. Using the lie that ALL the planets are heating up.

OR, how it is just a "natural" warming period. Despite the fact that it is accelerating way too fast for that.

OR, "What are you talking about? It hasnt changed at all!"

OR, "Its all a lie, Scientist are just trolls."

So now its volcanoes? Ok.

However, I find it funny that you would trust these scientist and not others.

there is no denying that change is happening, its pretty evident now, but i am totally against humans being responsible for it! the change is natural or unnatural but either way its nature that is changing it! we make little to no contribution to it.

Surely if something "unnatural" is happening, then humans, as the most powerful being on this planet, would have something to do with it.

I agree the planet is changing and not in a good way and yes we have something if not all to do with it but there are changes that take place naturally so we really can't tell the damage we have done til it's to late. The sun warms and cools which changes our weather and volcano's change our weather. It's el nino la nina it's just on and on to many thing's. I won't sit here and cry about it because what is done is done we are slowly coming out with better technology that does not hurt the planet as bad. And that my friend is the best we can do and hope for for the time being.peace out..

maybe, but i dont believe we are the main cause of it, we contribute little if at all to it, IMO of course.

i dont think anyone can find out 100% for certain to prove it either way.

Exactly we may never no and I don't even care to much because there is not much I can do about it(I can't control weather and I'm not God). I just burn my tires and oil every night like a good little boy.lol peace out..

What you told above might also true. Here in ATS i read a thread which was telling that Earth is only one not under global warming, all the planets in solar system are heating up due to Sun.

But every now and then some new Theories are popping up and itz hard to find out the truth. I need to do bit of search reg this and will update it here once done. in mean time if any one has any idea please share it.

hmmm....

Even Govt rag Wall Street Journal says Global Warming is dead

What do these climate experts say?

Although I agree that GHGs are important in the 19th/20th century (especially
since the 1970s), if the weighting of solar forcing was stronger in the models,
surely this would diminish the significance of GHGs.
[...] it seems to me that by weighting the solar irradiance more strongly in the
models, then much of the 19th to mid 20th century warming can be explained from
the sun alone.

*cough, cough*

Umm, what?

ROFL. Now I've heard some bizarre stuff on ATS before, but that?

Right. The supposed iron molten core is just going to come pouring right on out. Uh huh... I mean, we see evidence of this all over the universe...You know, those planets out there that have these long, millions of mile trails of magma reaching into space like giant tails...

If Nibiru can have horns, why can't other planets have tails
