The Johns Hopkins University history professor, once a senior adviser to former U.S. secretary of state Condoleezza Rice, has just published a book that concludes Canada won the war.

I read an article similar to this a few months ago (I think on or near the anniversary). Think it was in Maclean's . It was basically about how the US and Canada are now arguing on who one, and how both are going to spend money on reenactments and memorials and plaques and such.

Not many people know the events that took place during the war and I'm always up for a little history lesson....even if it does come from the "victors".

We were not as well armed, not as well trained and apparently drove the Americans off with our pitchforks.

At least that's how grandpa tells it. Shortly after that he said the Americans made great strides to be our friends in fear of losing another war to us. He went on to say, we had no interest in the Americans, only sovereignty.

I think they should do it again. (Burn Washington DC to the ground.)

Yes, Canada is the ONLY colony in the world (and it is still a colony) to beat the US in a war on its own soil LOL. There have been some draws, like Vietnam, but we done good eh! And now Harper's head is so far up Obama's @ss that you can't tell where one begins and the other ends.

What makes this song truly funny is the strong friendship that Canada and the US share and because of that friendship we can laugh at this song.

Just want to put this out there, Canada has stood by the US many a times, and the same is true for the US standing by Canada, we can laugh at each other and ourselves

Good.
Tell them to send a crew down to the "American side" of Niagara Falls, it's a real dump down there.
