I can't get past level 4, can anyone give me a hint or something?

It's the one that just says 'thelinesreadthelines'


EDIT: I figured it out, well I beat it at least, I'm not really even sure why I guessed what I guessed but it worked

So, you need a computer and knowledge of source codes? I don't even know what that is, but my question is: Can I do this from my phone? It's a Droid smartphone. There's a lot I can do but a helluva lot I can't do compared to a laptop or a pc... And if you have to know about programming and codes and stuff, then I don't know if I could anyway.

Thanks Aaron! I have doing this for an hour now and have been stuck on level 3 for half of it. Time for a break for sure.

I read your link on my smartphone today at work, then realized I can't view source on it. Grr. As soon as I got home from work, 6pm, I booted the website on my PC, and showed my wife. We solved up to level 16 together, before she went to work at 8pm (she works midnights), and I just finished up to level 23, jotting notes for her to solve up to where I am at, at her request. When she gets off work in the morning, she'll be following my vague notes to play catch-up. It's now 10:30pm, and I had to stop for the night. I'm 6 levels ahead of her.

If anyone needs clues, just ask, and I'll give you hints. No spoilers, just hints. Once you get into the logic behind the game, it'll be easier.

And yes, I wasted 4 and a half hours playing. Had to stop and do stuff, but thought about clues while I wasn't in front of the PC.

Hey Druid, No worries mate.

I've had to stop for a while at level 30. It was doing my head in haha

I thought I might slow down anyway as there is only 34 levels I think.

For the newcomers, I'll spoil Level 1.

In the address bar,

change /level1 to /level2.

You'll get the next clue, which is obvious. Change the address bar to the new link you found.

Ok, I got to level 32. They updated to 39 levels.

Whew. Need to take a break.

Did you try to read BETWEEN the lines? Make sure you add . html to your answer.

Alright...gonna need a clue on Level 18.

I got "THEANSWERISSIMPLERTHANYOUTHINK"...I also see the clues in the source code.

At first I thought that it would just be simplerthanyouthink.html....but I guess not. I also tried to guess what the "picture" looked like if not a skull...kind of looked like a fountain or a cake...both of which are moist...but those aren't it either.

So...not looking for the answer...just maybe an additional clue.
