It all boils down to the economy and how it stands this year. If there is still high official and unofficial unemployment, Obama is sunk, with no
real way for him to get elected, as the people will blame him for the mess that the country is currently in. The the job market improves, showing
real signs of a rebound on the part of the economy, then he has a chance and could very well be elected in November to a second term.
Ultimately, the ball is in the Republicans court, as they have to either put forth a strong contender who can challenge the President or will end up
losing. Who ever's name is on that ticket, has put his or her political carreer on line, after all if you were a canidate, would you want to lose
against Obama and have him in office for 4 more years. Right now they are jockeying for position and ultimately trying to get their platforms in
order, to present a canidate that has a good chance of winning. Here is the ultimate problem, they do not like Ron Paul, but can not do the election
without him, as he is bringing to the table votes, from the independant and young voters that they need. So any canidate who is on the ticket to be
president, would have to consider Ron Paul being on the same ticket.
