it is not about free speech.

she does not have any right to behave like this. it is not free speech being exercised here.

she is full of hate. she is verbally abusing other passengers. it is abuse. it is bullying.

anyone who trys to excuse or defend behaviour like this by rolling out the 'free speech' card is being very immature.

have you considered whether that hate is actually justified or are you just against this?

you are painting me out to be something i'm not, and i'm glad my posts can speak for themselves.
I have already said twice that I do not defend this behaviour, how many more times will appease you?

I DO NOT CONDONE THIS BEHAVIOUR.

BUT SHE HAS A RIGHT TO SAY WHAT SHE WANTS. JUST LIKE ME, JUST LIKE YOU.

whats with the block capitals?

how i am painting you anything. i have not referred to you at all. i keep refering to her?

i know you do not condone this behaviour.

and i know you have said she has a right to say what she wants.

I am stating that this has absolutely nothing to do with free speech. Nothing.

This is disgusting behaviour. It is abuse. She is shouting racist abuse at other members of the public, She is abusing other people. Do you understand that?

It is extremely silly an immature to try and defend what she is saying under the banner of 'free speech'.

you are right my bad. capitals were to ensure you read that

we dont know what transpired before this event to cause her to lash out like this though.
I just want to know, what is the line between free speech and abuse? at least in your idea of the concepts

you cannot start screaming abuse at members of the public. it is not acceptable social behaviour.

Well until they make a drug that stop's you saying the wrong things (and they will) your gonna have to live with it.
Because there's nothing you can do to stop it...there will always be people who will have a different opinion's than your's and make them known as loud as possible.....just look at alex jones and charlie veitch, they made a career out of it.

Although, the latter messed it up.

there is no line. we have to be mature. we have to be socially responsible for ourselves. we must respect each other. yes its a cliche but treat others how you want to be treated.

that womans life could be completely in the gutter and she is just lashing out and can't handle this planet anymore. many people are under serious stress right now. the whole place is at breaking point.

there is a reason we have the ability to screen what we say before we say it. i often wonder why we have that ability. there is many obvious reasons why we have it. but does it also make us very deceitful, dishonest? we can hide things from each other.

imagine if the human race was advanced enough that we could reach a level when we can all read each others thoughts. that means there is no screening of what we think. i guess we are a long way off every reaching that point. if we woke up tomorrow and could read each others thoughts , imagine the chaos.

imagine if you walk up to a person face to face and there is nothing you could say that would offend them, there is nothing you could say that could hurt them. could you be that person that could never be offended/hurt?

Seriously.
Someone should should've just punched in her face.
I have no idea why no one hit her as hard as they could . If that was me on that train , I would've punched her as hard as I could and I don't even care about her kid on her lap or anything if her life. That's completely unacceptable and if you act that way around me , I'm going to hit you. Hard.

Racism is just a political invention.

There is nothing wrong in not liking someone or a group of people for any reason.

You don't have to like Mexicans or Blacks or Jews or dumb people.

We were given free will and that means loving and hating who we choose.

Always minority groups having rules forced upon the masses. Sort of like religion.

Be free to hate anyone and don't be put of by the robots who say its bad or gross. It was the law makers and politicians that decided that for you!!

i dont hate anyone because of the colour, creed or where they was born

i hate people who make me hate them personally not as a group

"stand in front of the mirror observe what you see and then look further - if you can - to see your own soul which knows no color creed or race"

Hmm. She's a scumbag. And on more than just alcohol - she's gurning, which means she's probably on coke or mdma. That is the worst part, the fact that she's that intoxicated on whatever, and with a child.

Well obviously you're not that person who doesn't get offended, so I'm guessing that your idea of a perfect world is not all that perfect either.

Freedom of speech applies to all of us for good reason. Imagine that the fundamentalists get hold of the government and they don't like your views. Doesn't matter what your views are, they just don't like them. Should you be arrested because you refuse to keep your mouth shut? If your answer is "no", then you are a hypocrite.

Basically you're frustrated and angry because you are experiencing cognitive dissonance. You like to think that you believe in the ideal of free speech, but you really don't. You think that there should be limited free speech, but that is an oxymoron. In other words, a paradox. It is your inability to admit to yourself that you don't believe in the ideal of free speech that makes you angry.

You direct your anger at this woman because you see how she is very un-PC and you unconsciously realize that you also hold the very un-PC bias against free speech. In other words, you are bigoted against ignorant bigots. You see part of yourself in this woman and it makes you angry.

I know you'll rave against this assessment, but it's basic psychology. Dealing with and accepting your own shortcomings is the first step towards living without anger and judgment of others. This is also the first step towards that perfect world you envision.

I see this and all I feel is pity for the kid. The woman's behavior is a backdrop that highlights the hard times that this child will face as he grows up. Pity is the emotion of of those who realize that life is always a struggle to do the right thing. This child represents that struggle in a big way. He will have to go against his own family in order to become a loving and spiritual person. He may very well fail, just as many of us do in our everyday lives. This is why I feel pity and empathy when I watch this. Watch it again and only look at the kid...

Anger is the emotion of those who see themselves in this woman. The woman becomes the center of attention until the boy in the back stands up and they see themselves in him. Angry, frustrated, thinking that their own actions can stop this type of thinking and behavior in a stranger. This is the folly of vanity/ego. You can do nothing to change this woman or anyone else when you act out of anger. All you can do is hurt yourself by lowering yourself.

Ask yourself, how long would this rant have continued if one of the people asked her if she would like to pray with them. Or asked if she was alright and needed help. Or if all else failed they simply ignored her.

No, not just over some twat on a tram/subway or for any other bs reason, people/governments can think up...

However, maybe just maybe, if there is anyone left afterwards they will learn to get over this petty bs & learn life is better off without wars/racism/bigotry & commercialism..

Maybe im a pessimist, but i cant see change happening without such a extreme event..

Just my thoughts...

I am not angry at all. When I seen this video I guess I was a little bit depressed and sad. I feel sorry for this woman. I have not been calling for any action against her. I said already she is probably sick and needs help. I said that in the OP. God knows what she has gone through in life that has bought to this point. It does not excuse her behaviour. I wasn't comfortable posting a story like this but I did it for a reason. I put it up specifically without shouting and ranting that she is a horrible person. I was hoping to guide the conversation in a different way. I was looking at steering it away from one group jumping in and calling for her to be punched in the face and another group jumping in and saying she has a right to say whatever she wants. Trying to treat it in a mature way.

I know you'll rave against this assessment, but it's basic psychology. Dealing with and accepting your own shortcomings is the first step towards living without anger and judgment of others. This is also the first step towards that perfect world you envision.

this is just too funny.

Racism is just one tool to use in the divide and conquer tactics.

Another way to divide people is making new sects in religions.

Another way to divide is to make wars between different religions.

The cure for the tactic is unity + awareness.
