The base is 100 meters wide and the tower/pinnacle is 100 meters roughly. This strange unusual structure on lunar surface, cast a shadow and lies in a "strip" of 1 kilometer wide and 22 kilometers in lenght nearby the Apollo 14 Landing Site. I found this anomaly in Google Moon.

Ok now i see it. it would be good to have a 3d pic of that. and some different angles. it doesn't look like an artifact due to equipment and it certainly does appear to be elevated rather then a flat image.
It's certainly a strange looking object, more like a vehicle then a structure.
You must spend hours looking over these photo's, i never would have spotted that.

It's always nice to see something on here that isn't American/world politics, human rights abuses, war or end of the world on here.

There doesn't appear to be any shaddow on the lunar surface from these artifacts and the coloring looks computerised. I am not sure there is anything to see here.

This object cast its shadow clearly.

The yellow color added by me, to exalt the object.

Well, maybe someday NASA will trust the public with real pictures of the Moon and not these blurry, low quality bits of tourist junk for the postcards and school kids. If we're supposed to really believe that is the best quality over 40 years and 10's of billions of dollars put into NASA can generate, I feel truly insulted!

I'm having trouble seeing what you are pointing out...but I can make out enough of what you're writing about here to want to see photographs of the area that are high enough quality to make a photographic survey a realistic thing. Guess work with blurry blobs and vague images is maddening.

Actually, I tossed my two cents in for this thread on the off chance Phage or someone similar with better resources than we have would come across it and suggest a better source for images. Surely there must be a few out there...but finding what isn't designed to be found easily is just too much work for what this topic justifies.

However... If Phage did choose to share another link that isn't quite so 'optimized' for quick web loading (hows that for a harmless explanation for the garbage images? ), I'm sure we all be equally appreciative. Then perhaps we can get a decent look at this area the OP thinks is suspicious looking. Who knows...maybe there is something there to see?
