Funny enough, on the US $1 note, you have the Egyptian pyramid with the eye of Horus on the left, and Horus himself on the right. With the words "in God we trust" in between them.

So there you have it. You can also do your own research and see the history of the bible. I think most people still believe because they don't do release or because they want to believe despite of the evidence.

I think you are right about this! In my book 'I Am Christ', I go into confirmation bias, psychological adaptational strategies and cognitive dissonance amongst believers, in particular Christian believers and it seems that the mind has great difficulty in overcomming its preconcieved ideas about things, which suggests that belief resides within the ego, the very place which is condemned by these religions, yet at the same time, required to house their corrupted versions of the truth!

I believe Satan has a twist to all of this. He possesed certain individual at points of power to rewrite these scriptures for his own control. Why not? He needs to prove to god that man is not worth bowing to and the stage has long been set...
