2012 Coincidences or End of Days

According to John Major Jenkins, it will take 36 years to process through the Galactic equator. The Galactic Alignment "zone" is: 1998 +/- 18 years = 1998 + 18 years = 2016. This is "era 2012" alignment2012.com...

There are numerous prophesies, beliefs and ideals that point to something very significant occurring during this time frame that could potentially be apocalyptic. Now apocalyptic doesn’t necessarily have to mean the END of the world. However, it could be close to it. For example, picture the global economic crisis we are in currently. What if something serious occurred causing a disruption in the ability to distribute food? Such as with one of the worst case scenarios occurring in 2012 when the impact of solar flares and magnetic storms hitting earth are going to be at its peak. It is scientifically possible that these flares could knock out the satellites or worse most electronics in general. What would happen most likely be nothing short of chaos.There are two options.

1) All of these cultures predicting something apocalyptic occurring are mere coincidence or
2) Something will inevitably occur.



• The changing magnetic field will alter the endocrine production of the pineal gland.
• The Mayans had a very precise understanding of our solar system's cycles and believed that these cycles coincided with our spiritual and collective consciousness. *NOTE* The Mayan civilization of Central America was and is the most advanced in relation to time-science knowledge. Their main calendar is the most accurate on the planet. It has never erred. The Mayan fifth world finished in 1987. The sixth world starts in 2012. So we are currently "between worlds". On 2012, the plane of our Solar System will line up exactly with the plane of our Galaxy, the Milky Way. This cycle has taken 26,000 years to complete. Two other galaxies will also line up with ours at the same time. A cosmic event!

• Mayans call it the 'end days' or the end of time as we know it.
• Maoris Say that as the veils dissolve there will be a merging of the physical & spiritual worlds.
• Zulu Believe that the whole world will be turned upside down.
• Hindus Kali Yuga (end time of man). The Coming of Kalki & critical mass of Enlightened Ones.
• Incas Call it the 'Age of Meeting Ourselves Again'.
• Aztec Call this the Time of the Sixth Sun. A time of transformation. Creation of new race.
Dogon Say that the spaceship of the visitors, the Nommo, will return in the form of a blue star
• Hopi Predict a 25yr period of purification followed by End of Fourth World and beginning of the Fifth.
• Pueblo Acknowledge it'll be the emergence into the Fifth World
• Cherokee Their ancient calendar ends exactly at 2012.
• Tibetan Kala chakra teachings are prophesies left by Buddha predicting Coming of the Golden Age.
• Egypt According to the Great Pyramid (stone calendar), present time cycle ends in year 2012 AD
• Japan, Yonaguni underwater structures that were said to be around 12,000 years old, had writings about 2012 end of the world.
• The Aztec 2012 predictions says that on the winter solstice of 2012, the noonday Sun exactly conjuncts the crossing point of the sun's ecliptic with the galactic plane, while also closely conjuncting the exact center of the galaxy. This means that our solar system appears to belong to another galaxy that is colliding with the Milky Way. The Book says that judgments are released upon the earth in the form of seven trumpets, two witnesses, a dragon (the devil), the beast (the antichrist), the false prophet and the seven golden bowls. The judgments passed on to the Earth and its inhabitants include:
• Plague
• Earthquakes
• Hailstorms
• Fire
• Famine
• Meteor storm
• Lack of drinking water
Eventually the prophecy leads up to the antichrist assuming world domination with his false prophet overseeing the one-world religion. The antichrist is prophesied to rule the world for a period of time until the battle of Armageddon.
• Nostradamus - The 2012 predictions would not be complete without Nostradamus predictions for 2012 "Doomsday" Comet and foretell an anti-Christ, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, floods and other manner of destruction in 2012 date.
• Included among 2012 predictions is the belief that there is a 12th planet in our solar system whose orbital path comes close to earth every 30 million or so years. If it doesn't hit us they say, the gravitational pull of this planet will cause massive destruction on earth that we will not recover from.
• 2012 Solar Flares - NASA regularly monitors solar (sun) activity and can even predict general cycles showing when the most likely time will be for larger flares. In a general way, these predictions are reasonable reliable. The sun is set to peak in 2012.
• Edgar Cayce gave more than 14 thousand readings in his lifetime. Edgar Cayce forecast that Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York and would be gone, Japan as well, and Europe would be completely changed "in the twinkling of an eye." The Mississippi area of the United States would not fare so well. The Mississippi would become quite wide and the Great Lakes will drain into the Gulf of Mexico through it. Carolina and Georgia are also slated for disappearance. Some central states in the United States will be somewhat alright like the Illinois Ohio, Montana areas, while Canada has large portions of undisturbed area too. The western part of Canada is going to have challenges though. Edgar Cayce also predicted that there would be volcanic eruptions and earthquakes in the southern hemisphere more than the northern hemisphere. Land masses within the seas will arise to become islands and continents of their own.


Well I probably left several off but that is a good wealth of prophesies for 2012 or around that time frame. I find it very interesting how so many different cultures from so far away had similar predictions of something life changing occurring around this time frame. We all hope this is all just a coincidence, and that nothing apocalyptic will happen as predicted. Hopefully 2012 will pass by and we will just look back and have a great laugh like with how the world would end with Y2K and other dates. Like I said, there is two ways it can happen. However, it is only a matter of when not if an apocalyptic event takes place. Let us just hope it isn’t in our lifetime...ey?

There is absolutely no way to tell one way or the other until the year passes. You will have those who look at all the coincidences and believe with firm resolution that the world is going to end or transform, whereas you have those who will snap their heads back in pride and claim that anybody who believes such nonsense is retarded; there are those that blindly believe and those that blindly disbelieve, although both believe they see when they do not.

We'll just have to weather the storm and see what happens.

Time will tell.. I guess we could be in for a hell of a ride, or a hell of a laugh.

I'm hoping there is a mass spiritual awakening and a shift to the age of enlightenment, peace and harmony.
Maybe I have I have high hopes.. I will cherish the beautiful people around me greatly in 2012.

Wow, that was a great post.

I think it is undeniable that the world is changing right before our eyes. For example look at the middle east, Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Libya, Yemen, how many other countries have had or will have major changes with their governments.
Then if you look at the global economy, well we all know how bad things have been and things could easily get much worse.
I don't know if it will be anything as dramatic as an asteroid or nuclear war, but I do think by 12-21-2012 it will be a much different world.
As others here have said only time will tell.

Let me make one thing clear, nowhere in the bible does it say the earth will end in 2012, in fact it says that nobody knows the day and the time. It also says that while there may be famines and earthquakes that these are nothing more that birth pangs, in other words, it says that these things proceed a process and they in and of themselves are not part of the end times. In fact the bible says that Armageddon is a battle that is stopped.

I wrote a thread in which I called the idiot who claimed to be a Christian that said the earth would end this year a false prophet. What I am saying is that if the earth does not end next year than you cannot claim that the bible was wrong as it did not pick a date and what it did say would happen first has not occurred. We don't yet have a one world government, we have not seen a world leader that has caused peace (there is no peace in the Arab world yet and you are not required to have a mark to buy and sell. While, the bible may or not prove to be true, what it claims will occur before the end has not happened yet; therefore, I don't care if some Christians are dumb enough to believe that the world is ending when clearly not all signs have occurred yet (and I don't say you are a Christian who believes they have or even saying that you are a Christian, as I do not know).

If the world ends in 2012 then the bible is wrong as it says that Jesus will reign on earth for a thousand years. I am not afraid of the earth ending next year, I am much more concerned that we will continue to worry about what toys the world gives us and continue to kill to get those goodies. If the earth does end next year because of solar flairs or whatever then we still have now, a time to help one another and be of service to one another. Heck, if we only have a week left, just think of how much we can help one another deal with what is to come. We should focus on helping one another and not worrying about what could happen tomorrow. Anyone can be in a car crash tomorrow, the world ends for someone everyday.

I am just saying, don't worry about what tomorrow might bring, worry about what you can do for others tomorrow if it does occur. Not an attack and not an argument, just something to consider. Be well and peace.

Thank you for the detailed post. To ignore all the prophecy concerning 2012 would be hiding our heads in the sand and we should be preparing for something. The end of civilazation I dont know-the Bible says no one knows the hour of the second coming only the Father so not to set dates. But SOMETHING is coming you can feel it even those who dont study these things say they feel somethings going to happen-I liken it to how it feels just before a big thunderstorm starts. Its very strange.

I think it all comes down to what thoughts and actions we put in to the world that will determine the out come.... but at the same time we need a little excitement to take us out of our comfort zones to be given the chance to adapt.

Nice collection of info here, although Im gonna have to say that no, it is not the end of days, what it is is a shift in time, time is slipping and in order to understand what that really means you need to understand the nature of time, that it is cyclical and our current notion of it is actually incorrect, see while we run our schedules based on a solar calender we tend to ignore the lunar aspects of the cycles that govern our conscious universe. What we have is the materialistic paradigm shifting, it is slipping away, and with it, our sense of time.
