Well things like this do show Newt is as much the politician and wheeler/dealer as he always was. He can sling it with the best of them and he can
buy, bribe or outright steal his way into what he wants, at least in this early stage of elections. What he can't very well do is convince the
American people that he isn't part of the problem. For all the same reasons I just listed, he stopped being part of the solution back in the 90's and
has been a major part of the problem ever since.
Elect Newt and you get a right wing version of the kind of bad judgement and generally scary decision making we're seeing under Obama. The key
difference is, we won't have tyrants on steroids from the streets and alleys of Chicago. We'll have little potentates running around under Newt that
come from Academia and the "hallowed" halls of top level politics. Same crap, same doom under a different name in charge.
