NATO Helicopters from Afghanistan Kill 28 Pakistani Troops at Checkpoint in Pakistan

NATO helicopters and fighter jets attacked two military outposts in northwest Pakistan on Saturday, killing as many as 28 troops and plunging U.S.-Pakistan relations, already deeply frayed, further into crisis.

Pakistan retaliated by shutting down vital NATO supply routes into Afghanistan, used for sending in almost half of the alliance's non-lethal materiel.

The attack is the worst single incident of its kind since Pakistan uneasily allied itself with Washington in the days immediately following the Sept 11, 2001 attacks on U.S. targets.

Pakistan Army Chief General Kayani is holding an emergency meeting with military leadership to discuss NATO's deadly cross-border attack (no link available yet) But this might be the match that sets things off, you know this is the second time something like this has occurred, I wouldn't be surprised that Pakistan send tons of anti-aircraft munitions to the border and shoots down anything that comes close.

Then bring in the rising tensions with Russia and China (which warned the US and NATO from the bin Laden raid), and we all know what has happened in the past when the global economy has sunk, a world war. But as to the Pakistan military, you know that they have to do something.....they are going to take a lot of flak from their own people if nothing is done.

Does the U.S. still provide Pakistan with aid?

I once heard they stopped giving them money, perhaps it's true.

Just watching the BBC who were interviewing some NATO General (who I'm certain had a Sth African accent but had a German flag on his uniform). BBC basically asked if NATO would be starting with an apology considering that not only were they Pakistani troops but the checkpoint was closed and they were all in their beds asleep when NATO attacked. General responded by saying he would wait for a full investigation.

Why would the US want to do anything about Pakistan? Doing so might stabilize Pakistan-Indian relations, meaning less arms sales to both. Profit over morals, the capitalist way.

It seems that NATO(Northa atlantic terrorist organization) is trying to provoke pakistan into a war. This was a blatant violation of soverign terrotories and any retaliation by pakistan is warranted. Pakistan needs to step it up and put their nuke forces on alert, any more violations and all US bases in the middle east go bye bye.

Even THAT wouldn't do much good imo, because it would just be cutting off a fingernail of the immense evil dragon monster. No no, to kill the monster you must behead it. And in the case of a monster with multiple heads, you gotta behead all those too. The US bases overseas are just an extension of the will of corrupt Washington DC, which is an extension of the will of Israel and ultimately, Rome.

So what would be wrong with taking out some boy-molesting Nazis? If nothing else, the children would be safer.
