I know a good amount of people on here like preparing for things to happen.
I'd like to mention an often forgotten shelter, Jungle hammocks!
They weigh only 1.2 lbs, and pack up to the size of a shoe.
They keep you above the wet ground, and the rain/ snow off you while sleeping.
They are more comfortable then most beds and any cot/ pad.
They can be set up or taken down in 2 minutes.
Essentially they are a tent and a cot, without the poles, weight and size. They are a win win!
This is mine on my last camp outing.
