Whether justified or not, the Russians have very similar concerns over this shield as the Israelis have over Iran's nuclear program.
Whether true or not, they see this as an advantage for the USA, and a potential offensive "first strike" weapons system.
IF the Russians are pushed to the point where they feel the only option is "limited strikes" to remove this potential threat, how is what comes next
going to play out?
Is this system worth the risks?
If so, then the US and Europe had better be prepared to defend it at all costs, because they should not expect inaction on this from Russia.
Deals were made end the Cuban missile crisis, deals can be made here, and potential military conflicts avoided.
Hopefully cooler heads on both sides will prevail.
