I like how you seem to take actual pleasure at the idea of people getting "laid out on the curb" because they might get in the way of a consumerist feeding frenzy.

Do you feel the same way about the slower shoppers who get trampled during the Black Friday sales? "They were in my way, screw them! *stomp, stomp, stomp!*"

I must really be a grinch. I don't celebrate Christmas, and I avoid any holiday shopping scenarios like the plague. Black Friday is really something they made up just for this shopping day. In fact you can still save alot of money - just shop the internet instead if you want "Black Friday" deals.

If OWS wants to protest that is their right. However, when it infringes on someone else's rights, that's where it ends.

well ms/mr grinch, you are not alone

i also avoid any participation in this society sanctioned, corporate, commercialized, conglomerate of chaos, which isn't reflective of the season or supposed celebration one bit.

the atrocities committed in the name of what exactly ?? the almighty ... $$
yeppers, that's something to celebrate i suppose.

as for the protests, this is where we disagree ... protesting is not infringing on anyone's right to shop. it may make it more difficult to achieve but they certainly aren't infringing on anyone's right to shop.
even if they block the entrance via arm-lock, they are not preventing you from shopping ... you just have to exercise your right to pass more aggressively ... unfortunately, most will not.

That's pretty much EXACTLY how I feel. I go with my wife for Black Friday shopping. Now, to me, shopping is the 8th level of hell, but my wife is 5'2 and tiny. I'm 6 foot and look like the biker that I am so I go as her muscle. I've only had to get physical with someone once, but that's enough to make sure I'm there every year to protect her. I flat frickin dare one of these jobless bums or drum beating hippies to get in my way!

Nice attitude, ripping people without jobs, guess what alot of people that do support OWS, have jobs, and are in college, so quit stereotyping everyone

After seeing some of the videos in this thread I really don't see how anyone can complain or judge protesters at all. Furthermore I'm even more outraged at the violent response protesters have received when I see this mayhem and utter lack of common sense or human decency. But it's all ok because it stimulates the economy. Ugh.

OWS will find out who the real 99% are when they get trampled by Grandma who is hell bent on using her double coupons...

edit on 23-11-2011 by SLAYER69 because: (no reason given)

Exactly, there are more of us capitalists than the few socialists.

I think they just gave up and went home for a turkey dinner.

The Macy Parade was great!
