Again this statement is opinion (which is fine), but don't mistake it as the only real possibility or outcome. See the problem with communication in absolutes is that it leaves no room for various factors which can change a dynamic (inflexibility), and also leads to misinterpretation and miscommunication. "IMO" "How I see it" "I think" "From what I read/saw" all of those are flexible - "It will be like this" "The only way" etc... are closed ended paths to a wall especially when dealing with something that has not happened yet (as in the future which this whole thread is about).
Ah, here's where your wrong. These scenarios are actually pretty general. They actually leave room for many various factors. Suppose aliens invaded...they will either annihilate us, destroy our major cities and leave us in a state of barbarism, or install a world government for us(Either by doing it themselves, or humanity banding together to fight them off).
The first scenario is pretty clear cut...global annihilation.
As you pointed out and seem to have a good understanding of, the second scenario is pretty complex. There are a lot of paths that it could go down, people are very different. Some groups of people will do some things, others will do something else. Some groups will probably be content, others will be terrified.
It's the third scenario that you and others seem to need some clarification on. This possibility is probably even broader than the second one. A world government could come about in any number of ways. Just like there's different types of regular governments. There can be different types of world governments, good ones, evil ones, fascist, democratic, republic, socialist, etc. A one world government isn't NWO dictator rule by force necessarily. It's a possibility.
There really is no other options. If we keep going how we're going, eventually a country like North Korea, or Iran, will blow up some major cities, and cause us to lose our technological progress(Everything is linked together like a web today, if one city goes down, they all go down eventually). Since we've depleted so many resources already, it would take a very long time to rebuild.
Do you see now how these scenarios are actually pretty broad and leave room for many specifics? But the future will fall within one of these broad categories. They really do encompass every possible outcome.
