Allow me to answer you best way I know how.

"That" Bob? How about showing some courtesty in your manners, or shall we say lack of! Bob Powell has done some fine work and spends enormous time researching, talking to people and his contacts, and gets his message out without hiding behind a faceless monitor. That takes guts. Whether you agree with Bob or not is fine, however, can you do better?

I can't be 100% sure if these Libyans or Libyan mercenaries are eating raw human flesh, but I'm prepared to say I'm 99% sure, taking in to consideration these people are capable of ANYTHING beyond our imagination. I've already gone back to look at the video repeatedly looking at the inside organs etc.

I'm fully knowledgeable of Arab culture and Islam. Most of us are fully aware Arabs don't like dogs and are regarded as dirty unclean animals much the same way the Jews are of pigs.

I'm also fully aware of the initation rites among special forces but being force fed raw dog and human flesh is not one of them; thats NOT what separates the men from the boys in our special units at all.

Libya was not an Islamic nation (except between 642-1551) like that of Iran or Saudi Arabia but a Socialist one however their national language is Arabic and the main religion of the state is Islam (Sunni) and has always been for many hundreds of years. I know more about North Africa than probably you do, having ancestors and friends from those parts kinda teaches you some history of that region. So yes, I DO know what I'm talking about.

Now, can you be 100% certain those men were not fed raw human corpse? Unless you have taken a sample and DNA tested it, you are not 100% certain either. I said it APPEARS it could be human. Fact is, those men WERE eating raw flesh of a dog or human and it would'nt surprise me those Libyan soldiers or Libyan mercenaries were probably shot or machetted to death soon after the video was taken.

If the video is not what it appears to be, gee, those soldiers were'nt exactly been given lollies or cooked meat. Watch the video more closely, especially at the small detail of where the rebels were putting their hands in to before and during "feeding time"; hmmmmm, they have a wax museum in Libya too?

Keep in mind, if this is raw human flesh, the title of the video alone would'nt make it to Youtube and nor would the video hence why it has been taken down already on numerous sites. I think you saw the title, saw a dead dog tied upright and assumed thats what the soldiers were eating. Is it so far fetched for you if they were eating human flesh? Bob left enough room for you to decide for yourself if you paid any attention. No, Bob did not bring his report in to disrepute at all.

I also want to point out there is a longer and more clearer version of this video on the net. ATS would jump to delete it if any of us post it re terms and conditions.

The fact is I watched this video back in February when freelibya.org was claiming the video was of Gaddaffi's employment of Mercenaries (Possibly from around Africa, which I can agree with given the differing skin colour of the soldiers on their knees) going through initiation rites by having to eat dog flesh and then open mouth kiss a dead dog head. In FEBRUARY. Even the video I posted a page or two back was posted on youtube in MARCH. Do the math.

This was the Free Libya site and it was posting this and using it AGAINST Gaddaffi as proof he was employing Mercenaries. You can clearly see the soldiers on their knees are not all that scared, some are even smiling. T & C will not stop you from posing a link with a warning of graphic images.

I would respect his contacts if he wasn't claiming something and using a video, claimed to be several different things, to validate his remarks.

Now. You put me in my place regarding religion in Libya, but it was still not a muslim nation so I don't know what religion has to do with military, but with the above links I hope you understand what I am getting at here. Please ensure you see the dates all those videos are posted/linked.

Hopefully this will be end of discussion, I respect what Bob Powell is doing but he made a big error by making claims and using THAT video to back it up. He could have just as easily used no video. It would have, at the very least, planted the info there for future reference. Now it's tarnished and we wonder whether he got this info FROM the video he watched, in which case it is most certainly wrong, or he's heard it elsewhere and found this video to validate it.

PS: What I deem an Islamic state is one where the largest majority of the population is Muslim and is run by Muslims. As to what kind of politics moulds the nation makes little difference to me whether that be Socialist, Nationalist or a Republic whether it's run by "royals" or Imrans, democratic or not.

Here's what I have found so far:

www.freelibya.org is down so I can't confirm you saw the video as early as February of this year.

Of the links of the same video you gave me, the first two were uploaded on 23rd March 2011 while the other three were 24th March 2011. Until freelibya.org is up and running I have to assume you never saw this video before 23rd March 2011 as you allege.

I do know Pro-Gaddafi's forces or the Libyan Military were already well underway of a bombing campaign against the rebel enclaves as early as 9th March 2011. We do know it in fact started earlier than that.

The "rebels" that appeared to be force feeding Libyan soldiers or mercenaries.....I'm yet to find one single photograph of a black Libyan rebel soldier among the rebels. This might work in your favour.

I'm still digging.......

LightAssassin, here's what I'll do. Even though I'm pressed for time as it is getting a new episode up each week, in the future I will be as diligent as I can possibly be to make sure that my information is beyond reproach. As of this minute, I still believe that this was a human corpse but if it is proven that it was in fact a dog I will make a retraction.

Ummm, that might have something to do with the fact that the missiles were stolen by the al-Qaeda terrorists that were being protected by the NATO planes. Perhaps you didn't see the previous episode where that was explained. Here's a refresher.

Quite frankly the high explosive shells are more of a worry, car bombs are devastating on civilian populations. The stingers are ground to air platforms and are limited in their extent, and the units are vunerable on open ground. You are quite right about the Iranians western leanings, and since there has been anti-government protests and deaths in Iran over the last three years, that government will be looking over its shoulder from now on, and any more use of hezbollah factions will be closely watched by the reform protestors. Everything in Egypt used to be the 'Will of Allah' but people there have caught on to that philosophy being abused by government, the same will come in Iran. In the meantime, outsiders should keep their nebs out.

I was hoping that this video would have more facts than the other ones but all I found was mostly allegations based off of YouTube videos. I thank you for pointing out the dog thing, I thought something was fishy about that.

I don't see what the big deal over one particular video really is, fact is, these people are tribal and are capable of anything. Eventually as the "Muslim Brotherhood" take over the seats of Govts throughout the Middle East and Northern Africa then they'll turn on eachother. After that is said and done, then they'll turn their sights on the Western world, Europe will be their first port of call; if I'm correct, the time frame would be somewhere around 2020 ish but of course that depends on afew other possibilities that could take place between 2013 and 2020.

Gaddaffi with a stick hanging out his arse. Not questionable.

Troops dressed up in full military camo, confirmed as Qatari. Not questionable. Much.

This is so frustrating. The fact is it is QUESTIONABLE. Not like the video that clearly shows a fully suited soldier, possibly of Qatari origin but most certainly not a rag-tag rebel or the video that clearly shows a stick hanging out of Gaddafi's arse.

The more we go on the more people are reading and the more this is damaging 'The Truth is Viral' series. Instead of admitting that the video in question cannot be confirmed as fact we're instead accusing Middle-Eastern people of being tribal and that we 'all know what they are capable of' so the video doesn't matter. IT DOES MATTER.

I know what you are saying and I'm in agreement with elements of your post but at the end of the day it does'nt matter because we all know how each and every Arab nation is going to pan out and the end result. I'm more concerned about the minority groups in the Middle East at this point in time and I believe I'm well justified by saying that. What the Arab Muslims do to each other in the Middle East, it would be so much easier to say I don't give a stuff but I do care about the innocent victims who are going to caught up in the crossfire especially the kids.

Makes me wonder of the families that rule the world and the politicians who work for them, will any of their kids be lining up for conscript in to the military?

I wish we could just put all these Muslims with so much lust for blood, power and money all in one area and let them go for it but thats fanciful thinking on my part.

Is it possible that someone who would like Iran to get clobbered by someone, has arranged for an increase of mayhem on Israel's southern border with that end in mind?

Anything coming out will be such, it's all illusions....But whatever weapons Qaddafi had no doubt is going to wherever they want them to go....There is no such thing as coincidences especially concerning war, and yes off-course Iran is trying to go nuclear and especially have nuclear weapons.

And yes all parties involved both Russian, Chinese, American, Middle Eastern, Asian whatever and whoever is selling weapons to all involved, after all the arms trade is very profitable, and that is there job. And yes off-course all the religious nutters will kill and die for whatever reason they have been told...After all they do habit of being great fodder for such, and a great tool for war, and all religions Judaism, Muslim, Christian, there all just shadows of each-other.

In fact if people in the west were not so mistrusting of religion we would be arguing the same thing, and arguing about which god and what profit said to do this and that. But then again were a bit more complected over here...And so we got a more complicated system, I do believe it's called politics. If anything it is not all that different from the older less complicated systems of control.

What I'm hung up about is what the video has been used for. We are no better than the couch potatoes taking in their Fox News and CNN if we don't give everything the fine tooth comb treatment.

As for everything else you said, I am in complete agreement. I too worry for everyone who is innocent. I also worry for those who are young adults and have no choice to be who they are because of the environment they are forced to live in.

My only problem is that we need to make sure the reporting is accurate, for the sake of the people who are ignorant. The fact my partner picked up the usage of the video, and then questioned what else was wrong, I had to explain to her that Bob must have made a mistake. Guess what? She is still sceptical now. I don't blame her. These things happen when you use questionable evidence.

of course usa or israel has the weapons or is using this dis-info or info into creating fear of Iran...

"Informed sources" is a statement that greatly intrigues me. I have mine as well, but most would never disclose any knowledge of an attack because it if nothing else show's a sloppy concern for such things as sources and methods. And those who would know something "real" is going to happen, and would brag, or boast about it know what I think about that, and try to avoid me at things like military trade shows, where I am likely to run in to one or two of them. "Scoops" are usually the thing of tabloids or unrepeatable media elements who hear this or that and if they report it first and are correct get book offers and maybe a chance to be on the equivalent of Oprah.

You could be right, hell I don't know. As for variations in readiness or military activity, that varies for a lot of reasons. A few years back several of our shops that just got into port were ordered out at once, they were quickly replenished and sent back out. That along with several Air Force Elint&Ecom and what I can only call special general combat and operations support aircraft. That's because we did get hard data that North Korea was going to test fire a new, nuclear capable missile. You may remember thats when they sent one directly over Japan.Good God did the s*** hit the fan. The rapid deployment of military forces sent the rumors flying fast and furious. "Rumor" has NCIS and OSI, along w/a few I can't mention did track down some of the more loud, some times heavy drinkers, and basically told everyone to "shut up" or else. It happened so fast the "fast talkers", as we call the people in the military, and sometimes elsewhere, like idiot contractors who think it's a game to play spy, that just can't resist saying "I know something YOU DON'T know... Think some of these guys are talking about getting laid...THAT they can talk (or lie) all they want about, nobody cares...

But if your information IS correct, I do wish people who might hear something are mature enough to know this isn't a game and keep their mouth shut. People get killed when they don't from time to time.
