Earth is like the flecheiros. What if.....

I would like to propose a theory that we "Earth" are like the recently discovered Tribe in Brazil.

I often wonder if all the conspiracy theories about UFO coverups and alien conspiracies are a little, well, maybe too over the top? Perhaps when we pose a theory about government cover-ups of alien civilizations, we are inflating ourselfs as earthlings to an importance that is preposterous.

Given different theories, and mathmatical formulas that propose there are other life bearing planets, and possibly civilizations out there, it is possible that these life supporting planets/systems have existed for millions of years.

If that is the case, then we would be very miniscule, and frankly, very unimportant compared to civilizations that may have existed for millions of years.

If there are aliens, then perhaps we are like the flecheiros. The flecheiros are a recently discovered tribe in brazil, who had managed, through their distance from civilization, to remain mostly uncontacted and isolated.
To us, they are interesting, and we would like to learn about them, but we will probably do so with a good hearted attempt at not destroying their culture. The Brazilian Government is going to attempt to protect these tribes and keep them in isolation for their own good.

Perhaps we are like the Flecheiros. We are a small uncontacted tribe in the middle of a vast jungle. We witness craft that we do not understand flying overhead from time to time. Perhaps we even make contact with a people or being that we do not understand from time to time. These meetings with mysterious beings result in catastrophies, and miracles. These mysterious beings are part of our legends and we theorize about what they must be, and what their intentions are. We might even think we are the center of the universe, because, well, in our universe we are. But we have no idea what is really going on out there.

As the Flecheiros, we are a protected tribe. The Galactic government knows of our existance, but purposefully prevents contact to protect us from disease, or irradication through to much exposure to the rest of civilization. From time to time, they will fly by in government craft to study and check in on us. And perhaps, we have already been visited by folks from the galaxy, who were curious about us, or perhaps exploring and accidentally ran into us.
