Point to me 20 times he's been right, and I'll point 30 times he's been wrong. Let's play this game.

Oh! Unless you have no idea what you're talking about, which is really likely!

If you do not want censorship, you will have to make your own forum on the web.
Even ATS practices censorship themselves.
A thread was taken down just minutes ago, more will come down in the future.
If we do not like it, we may leave.
It is their court and their ball, we play by their rules.

They have the right to establish rules and regulations on their posting boards but this just seems unreasonable and hypocritical. Especially considerig how much the ows movement relies on freedom of speech to defend itself and how people like alex jones and david icke, while they are somewhat skeptical, are generally in support of the movement, what they are fighting for, and attempting to expose

That OWS website sounds like it sucks. By dismissing "conspiracy theories", they are dismissing the real explanations as to why people are up in arms all over the world.

So what is there left to say, if not to offer explanations as to the economic destruction of the western world? Of course it is a conspiracy. When more than once person gets together and decides to do something bad on the sly, that's a conspiracy.

You cannot fix a problem at the same level that it was created, so if you don't understand the underlying mechanism, how in the world can you fix it??

Not interested in going to that website anyway. I suspect this whole OWS thing will be co-opted by government agents, and people who really don't know what the hell is going on, they just enjoy the social aspect.

REALLY?

I haven’t seen you or anyone else denounce the following:

• The Communist Party USA
• American Nazi Party
• Ayatollah Khamenei, Supreme Leader of Iran
• Barack Obama
• The Government of North Korea
• Louis Farrakhan, Nation of Islam
• Revolutionary Communist Party
• David Duke
• Joe Biden
• Hugo Chavez
• Revolutionary Guards of Iran
• Black Oanthers
• Etc

Where is the distain for these despicable groups? Does OWS support these people or will you, as a voice for OWS, denounce these groups right now? Pick and choose! I’d love to see which one’s OWS will defend!

I remeber seeing the video of Alex Jones showing up at a Tea Party protest and he got the same treatment. Except he showed up with a bull horn trying to over take the microphone and speach some one was giving. He will misdirect any movement to the conspiracy realm of no return if hes allowed. And don't forget where his excohost is. Red Eye on Fox News.

Alex Jones is the biggest supporter of Ron Paul in the Media!

Isn’t Ron Paul a champion of everything OWS stands for??

BOY!!! You guys have a conflict of interest going on!!

Another sign of the lack of leadership within OWS I guess!

True, true, true. Once the censorship starts, any movement allegedly based on grass roots sentiment dies.

OWS has people in charge now, where they came from IDK (but they are meeting in bank lobbies I hear)
and if they don't like what you have to say, you're banned.

Hypocrites.

It looks like this meager post, combined with others around the net, got them to change their ways concerning this "ban" on *certain* alternative media sources. I no longer see the restriction on OWS's page.

All of these are bad no matter which side is doing it. OWS is targeting the people who truely put them on and try and buy the politicians. Alex Jones only cares about one. I think that big wooden owl scared him or something.

I don't see why we should denounce any of those but the Nazi / KKK / North Korea / racist groups. But seeing as OWS is made up of individuals and is not just a giant hivemind, no one could say what anyone else supports.

The spam on the OWS forums was getting ridiculous, warning after warning after warning. At some point you have to say you were warned, good-bye. All are still free to attend. I'm glad they did it.

So when he was in Dallas and Austin heading END THE FED he was wrong?

It's easy to dismiss and talk smack but I don't see any examples to back up your quick dismissal.

And when Occupy protests the fed, you still laugh at them because?

That's all I have to say.

OWS doesn't want to be judged by the actions of a few. I guess that standard doesn't apply to everyone?? He said one thing you disagree with so everything he says is BS?

I see...

Irony. You're complaining about marginalizing, have you read your posts lately?

There's nothing wrong with not wanting the movement to become an election campaign. Notice all the other candidates including Obama are now banned too.

Keeping the RP spam and there was a ton of it is not against the man himself. Many still see the commonalities and no-one has been boo'd away for carrying a RP sign.

Interesting though that you think Occupy stood for all the same ideals Ron Paul does and still shat all over it.

On a forum that was hard to see anything other than the spamming of AJ this RP that...topics that had zero to do with anything occupy...banning such things is bad, hypocritical? Can you imagine ATS with no modding or banned topics/people/sites?

Also, OP there's plenty of anti-Jone's shills here so beware.

They will always bring up y2k (when Jones was initially beginning). They will always bring up that the man makes money from his website (God forbid, a journalist/ producer make an income to support his family). They will always critique him as a loud loon.

They will never address when the man is right, which is far more often then wrong. They will never address the fact, that his sources come from openly available sources that are credible and come from our Government, or other media sources.

It has to mean something, when I learn about news from Infowars months before it might hit the mainstream. Months.... And yeah he might get some wrong Intel on occasion. Point is, that wrong Intel never brought our country to a War for over a decade.

How many bull$hit stories are in the main stream media?

My only critique of Jones, is I wish he would calm down. His persona is a hard pill to swallow at times, but if people just listen to the message, and not the screaming then more people would realize that the man is for the people. He's so angry, because things are just so bad...
edit on 21-11-2011 by squidboy because: (no reason given)

I know what you mean! But you have to understand the man. He’s a very….tightly wound….dude to put it lightly. Check these highlights of insanity out:

He and I grew up together. Haven’t talked to him since we were in High School (many…MANY moons ago) but I’ve been a fan for a long time. He is a little nuts….always has been. But I don’t see anybody else leading the way on the pursuit for truth. He has nuts to do what he's done….gotta give him that. And he is right a lot!

And as far as OWS banning him!! It’s just another sign that they’ve been taken over by the Libs and the Soros socialism crowd. It is what it is!

When people demonize the Alex Jones show they are including the guests who make appearances there as well. I have learned a lot from his program unlike MSM but I suppose they are innocent of cover ups. Make it up as you go articles, They could never be considered a propaganda tool or go as far as staging videos. Why is the standard so high for Alex Jones and his supporters along with his guests when apparently there is no standard at all for the rest. If its BS then its all BS Ban it all.

I notice tht the people who still support AJ are the ones that are fairly new here. If you did a search on AJ here on ATS you will see the amount of BS that has come out of his mouth. It still confuses me that there are people who will stick up for him even after years of lies. No wonder OWS wants nothing to do with him

100% correct.....if you look at most people who support AJ its weak minded individuals and people just getting into conspiracies. I even admit I liked AJ....for about 3 months. Then I realized how little added up. Besides who cares if OWS doesnt support him. If they are willing to support all those others and not AJ do his supporters really want them?

You didnt hear?

CINCINNATI, Ohio -- The Occupy Wall Street movement in protest of the perception of corporate influence in government has spurred demonstrators in Cincinnati to form their own political party. Spokesman Tyrone Givens tells The Associated Press that he and other Cincinnati-based protesters traveled to New York's Occupy site to pitch the idea. He says the party is vetting six potential candidates for local office from Ohio, New York and Kentucky.

Ohio Occupy Movement Spawns Political Party

The Occupy Wall Street protest may be a movement, a momentary phenomenon or something in between, but one thing its most fervent activists insist it's not is a team of shock troops for any political campaign.

Occupy Wall Street insists it's not political, at least for now

Looks like the right hand doesn't even know the left exists.......................
