Do you enjoy losing yourself in the clang and clamour of battle? Immersing yourself in the "fog of war"? Covering yourself with glory in the front ranks of battle (or at least pretending to for a few hours..These are a few of my favorite movies ..My father was in the Marines,so i was brought up in a military family...Marines, home of the brave, and home of the tough, Semper Fi "Always faithful" and thats no bluff!!. Marines are mighty and true, they protect our freedom, Honor Courage and comitment it's so true, it's all about protecting the red , the white and the blue!!!. Marines will never break or bend, they're ready to fight and defend.

Please add to the list of movies or videos and lets keep on topic this isnt about how bad war is its about movies..Peace,sugarcookie1

Johnny got his gun.
A very disturbing look at war.

I think in the time it was made (its an older movie) it was a bold statement.
Also the movie that inspired the video for this song.

I love the part in The Patriot when Mel Gibson was waving the Stars And Stripes. That flag had not been invented at that time. The rebels fought under The British East India Company Flag

Battle of LA was an amazing Marine Corps war movie. I highly recommend it. It does not matter that its an alien movie, its just really really good.

More of a modern take, but still very powerful in it's own regard:
Blackhawk Down

This was considered more of a TV show than a movie, but still very well done:
Generation Kill

If you haven't seen Generation Kill, it was a series on HBO that was great. The cast was incredible, and the writing was top notch.

Edit: I have to add Inglorious Basterds to the list too, as that was an amazingly well done movie.
