You guys made it relevant when you tried to redefine the image of OWS into filthy, drug-abusing vandals at every opportunity.

The main point here is that NO ONE can say he's any of those things, or that he hasn't earned the right to make the statements he's making.

Feel free to disagree with him, but now you'll have to work a little harder to make the meth-addicted bongo drummer things stick. Not a whole lot harder, if history serves, but at least a teensy bit harder.

I had to just say thanks for that. The guy is definitely anti-ows for sure. I am not for or against really. That was just funny, realistic and absurd in one video.

"Go Captain America!" Bump!

Ugh! The new Progressive Captain America saved the world by stopping America from burning coal and instituting a One World global tax to control co2.

These frivolous pigs have no honor, they are not police... they are nothing but hired muscle working for big brother they are truly disgusting. It takes a certain type of person to want to desire this position of power usually cops are opportunists they did not sign on to help you get a cat out of your tree nooo they signed on because they want to be in a position of authority. Capt Ray Lewis is one of the few that wanted to uphold justice, not uphold lobbyist agendas and laughable laws passed to oppress. See how they will turn on their own? The man arrested is a REAL COP! One of the last few stand up guys that have a pair of balls in the police farce.

Death before dishonor!
!

NYPD you are fighting a battle that you can not win! The end will not bode well for you I promise. When the corrupt are exposed and neutralized we will remember your faces. If i was a NYPD officer I would start looking for another job. Oh that scum bag puppet Bloomberg will see bars as well.

Maybe if they go back to calling OWS Socialist Kenyans it might stick?

yeah I can see that now, the haters all ready use the socialist label excessively. The haters are very good at destroying any credibility they have. Then again they cant destroy something they never had. One would think ptb would employ shills that would be at least witty lol

Curious, why didn't he take his stand at OWS Philly? Imagine how torn former co-workers would be in having to arrest him for taking a stand?

OWS New York is the epicenter and where his voice is most likely to be heard and where he will be noticed. Philly and New York are like 90 minutes apart by train, anyway. He could be at one protest one day and the other the next day very easily.

Same here i have been to OWS Chicago and OWS Des Moines, because i travel back and fourth for my job. I guess some people will try to find any petty silly excuse imaginable they can think of to discredit OWS people... it's almost comical.

Someone called him Captain America, expect the haters to attack Captain America now... wait they all ready did

As LightSpeedDriver said above, this guy is a real "Captain America". I am glad to see that more and more people that are known and respected are making their voices heard in this. The OWS protests may be the most pure "American spirit" that I have seen in my long life as We, the People are taking the responsibility of doing something about our country.

If you don't like the way things are, then do something to change it. And they are.

Exactly... is seems that people, especially in the US, are so politically and idealistically entrenched that they cannot see what is happening before their very eyes.
They wont accept it for what it is and look to "blame" the protests on Communists or Jobless layabouts or many, many other things.

When really.... these are just people... every kind of people... voicing their concerns and saying "We've had enough... enough greed, enough corruption"

Sadly people don't want to see it for what it is.... they must have an enemy.

The dubious "inside job" thing there is pretty lame. Stick to social issues, not disproven underground movements.

It's not relating to 9/11

It's this

It just amazes me how many people think Government was created to take care of them and if not the Government, the unions. If we continue down this path we will all be fighting for a piece of the pie until there is no pie left, because the folks who actually make the pie have stopped making it!!

his guy lays out OWS for what it really is.....

if this guy is what you're using to explain what OWS really is - you should feel a little embarrassed

it's anti-intellectualism that thinks it's camouflaged by accusing others of being dumb

this smug, self satisfied gentleman made the whole example up - and has the nerve to dismiss people's real concerns with a materialistic and invisible cartoon character he invented named Dakota along with her imaginary unemployed, lazy, whiny ingrate friend...all of it fictional

meanwhile he actually says - out loud - during a time when many people in this country are unemployed (and not by choice) that he and his employed friends are laughing at the protesters

this level of arrogance - and dumbness - is astounding

Did you listen to what he is saying? He wants to CONTROL every transaction done by corporate America. How, and who exactly will CONTROL these transactions?...

You see, right there is the fallacy behind this whole OWS movement, you people claim it is not some sort of socialist/liberal dream, yet that is exactly what it is. The OWS movement, and including this captain want to give MORE power to the STATE/GOVERNMENT in order for them to CONTROL corporations. But the government is already a corporation and has been giving power to the largest corporations.

If you haven't learned by now that who they will REALLY control is the people with this newfound power the OWS camp want to give the STATE/GOVERNMENT, then you are only delluding yourselves.

With this newfound power you all want to give the STATE/GOVERNMENT, small businesses will not survive as more CONTROLS are put in place just so those in power STATE/CORPORATION can CONTROL every aspect of business, and in essence our lives.

H.R. 1388 To Reauthorize and Reform the National Service Laws.

thomas.loc.gov

Directs the Corporation to plan pilot programs to: (1) better target and serve displaced workers; and (2) establish a centralized electronic citizenship verification system which would allow the Corporation to share employment eligibility information with the Department of Education.

Authorizes the Corporation to treat September 11th annually as a National Day of Service and Remembrance.

Establishes within the Investment for Quality and Innovation program: (1) a ServeAmerica Fellowships program providing fellowships to individuals chosen by states to participate in service projects addressing certain areas of national need; (2) a Silver Scholarship Grant Program providing scholarships to individuals age 55 or older who complete at least 500 hours of service in a year in an area of national need; and (3) an Encore Fellowships program providing one-year fellowships to individuals age 55 or older who serve in areas of national need and receive training to transition to public service employment. Makes ServeAmerica fellows eligible for national service educational awards.

Authorizes the Corporation to provide grants to innovative and model service programs, including those for disadvantaged youth, youth under age 17, and potential recidivists.

Eliminates federal funding for the Points of Light Foundation.

How many times do they mention how much power the Obama administration gave "THE CORPORATION" in the above excerpt and in just ONE bill which is now law?...

Ever heard of independent regulation?
You set up an independent regulatory body and have them do it.

Savings and other activities of high street banks need to be separate...banks should not be able to gamble away customers money, the different "arms" of banking should not be crossed.

You see, right there is the fallacy behind this whole OWS movement, you people claim it is not some sort of socialist/liberal dream, yet that is exactly what it is.

No It's not... you just see what you want to see.
Regulation = Socialism/Communism??

Really?

Also there are so many threads regarding this right now and it does get very tiresome repeating the same thing to different people over and over and over.

Here are some thoughts on why the system isn't fair and what would be a fairer system

As stated, I'm not a banker, politician or economist

No worries, many people have made the same mistake... they hear "Inside job" and assume it's some 9/11 kook... there are many "Inside Job's" including the downfall of the financial markets.
